Our previous Hunter was about 15 years old. This one is quiet and provides a cooling breeze for the entire room.

This fan is extremely efficient and the lamp is perfect. The fan doesn't have dedicated speeds, and this can make finding the correct setting frustrating. Added to the fact there is a lag with the remote control. There is no Goldilocks setting... everything is too fast or too slow. Even in "winter" mode, the fan moves plenty of air making even large rooms comfortable. Overall, I'm very happy with this product.
