About the Book
In the spirit of Ian Falconers "Olivia," this hilarious, irreverent book introduces Iggy Peck, who has been building fabulous creations since he was two. But when his new second-grade teacher declares her dislike of architecture, Iggy faces a challenge. Full color.Book Synopsis
This beloved New York Times bestselling picture book is a fun-filled, inspiring story about the power of teamwork and the importance of celebrating individual gifts and self-expression.And now you can follow Iggy's further adventures--with his friends Rosie Revere and Ada Twist--in the instant New York Times bestseller Rosie Revere and the Raucous Riveters, an all-new chapter book starring The Questioneers!
Some kids sculpt sand castles. Some make mud pies. Some construct great block towers. But none are better at building than Iggy Peck, who once erected a life-size replica of the Great Sphinx on his front lawn! It's too bad that few people appreciate Iggy's talent--certainly not his second-grade teacher, Miss Lila Greer. It looks as if Iggy will have to trade in his T square for a box of crayons . . . until a fateful field trip proves just how useful a mast builder can be.

Q: What does school & library mean? Is it hardcover?
submitted by Carol - 5 years ago
A: School and Library binding means that, expecting the book to be used in those settings, the publisher has used sturdier material in constructing it. It also means that the cover design is printed on the hard cover itself, as well as on the removable dust jacket. Yes, it is hardcover.

If you have a boy who has any interest in building, then buy this book. It’s cute, rhyming and keeps his attention. My 6 year old loves to create and we always tell him he may be an engineer or an architect.

I absolutely loved this book. I purchased it for my 17 month old, hoping that he would grow into it. He sat through the whole book with me and pointed at the shoes and pencils! He loved it, too, so much so that I immediately ordered him the other three books in the series (Rosie Revere, Ada Twist, and Sofia Valdez). These are wonderful and aspirational rhyming books, and I look forward to reading them over and over!
