They cook up well on my non-stick pan, needing just a little bit of oil. It doesn’t take much time for me to cook them, about 10 seconds on each side, and it feels like I’m eating a medium rare burger. I also appreciate the protein content in these patties, which makes them feel like a filling meal. I’ve never been one to eat plant based cuisines, however after trying this dish I’m definitely going to explore more dishes.

As someone who regularly eats meat, can definitely feel a slight difference in taste but it is prettyy much closer to that even someone who doesn’t eat meat might not get it! Also, I felt the patty is on the drier side. Use sauces to make it juicy!

The smell is horrendous. The person who said burnt tires was spot on. I wish I had read that comment before buying. As my son said, “if you hold your breath while you’re eating they’re not terrible but they’re definitely not good.” We’ve both had impossible burgers out at restaurants and those are good but these are just awful. For alternative meat products from home, beyond burgers are the way to go. Or skip alternative and just go for Morningstar, at least those smell and taste good.

Gross. Somehow on my pickup order I got these instead of real beef. I opened them and man they stink! Looked at the package and realized the mistake. Threw right in the trash! Why make fake meat??? Gross

I just got these , and when I grab the bag, I smelt something.. but thought I was tripping . I get home and open the package… oooh man the smell is horrible ! Smells like a bad fart! Doesn’t even look fresh

Don’t appreciate how it bleeds like cooking beef, why would they make that? Beef does that because of a vein that cows have and the iron in their blood! I don’t even know how they make it happen. It’s suspicious to me.

It sounds like you're describing heme, an ingredient in Impossible Burger Patties that is red in color and is largely responsible for our burgers' meaty flavor. Although heme may sound unfamiliar, it’s found in all living things--including animal meat as well as plants. Our heme is derived from soy root nodules and fermented yeast.
