Instant Brown Rice - 14oz - Good & Gather™

Make meal prep a breeze with this Instant Brown Rice from Good & Gather™. This instant brown rice is parboiled and steam treated to provide a rice that is just as delicious as standard brown rice. Steam treatment also makes the rice less sticky and more separated, making it easier and more enjoyable to eat. It’s quick and easy to make so you can spend less time in the kitchen and more time at the table. Perfect for a variety of dishes from stir fry and pilafs to Southwestern dishes and Cajun gumbo, this instant rice will have everyone feeling full and happy.

* The 2015 USDA Dietary Guidelines recommends consuming at least 3 servings of whole grains per day for a total of 48 grams. One serving of whole grains is equivalent to 16 grams. 1/4 cup of this product contains 45 grams of whole grains.

Directions
For 2 servings, use 1 cup water and 1 cup rice.
For 4 servings, use 2 cups water and 2 cups rice.
For 6 servings, use 3 cups water and 3 cups rice.

Stovetop (recommended method)
1. Heat water to boil in saucepan. Add butter and salt to taste, if desired
2. Stir in rice; return to boil. Reduce heat to LOW; cover and simmer 5 minutes.
3. Remove from heat; let stand 5 minutes or until water is absorbed.
4. Fluff lightly with fork; serve.

Microwave
1. Place water and rice in microwave-safe bowl. Use quantities from list above.
2. Cover; microwave on HIGH according to times below.
3. Let stand 5 minutes or until all water is absorbed. Fluff lightly with fork; serve.

2 servings - 7 minutes
4 servings - 9 minutes
6 servings - 12 minutes

CAUTION: Handle carefully as container and water will be hot.

Appliances may vary; adjust cooking times accordingly.
Refrigerate or discard leftovers immediately.
