Q: Why does the manual for the 6qt Instant Pot Duo Crisp say that it requires 1.5 cups of liquid? Most cookbooks and internet recipes only call for 1 cup of liquid needed to achieve pressure in a 6qt.
A: Hello Frugal mama. Great question! Most recipes have some extra liquid from other ingredients such as canned tomatoes that will make up the remaining liquid required. However, when it comes to pressure cooking something like potatoes, the 6Qt Instant Pot requires 1.5 cups of liquid to create pressure and to avoid the Burn error. We hope this helps!

Q: Can you sitll cook rice in this like other instant pots on a rice setting?
A: Thanks for this great question! the Instant Pot Crisp doesn't have a dedicated rice button to make rice. Some models have one, but it uses pressure so you can do the same thing with the pressure cook button. We recommend using a 1:1 ratio of rice to water, and a time of 4 minutes for white rice or 22 minutes for brown rice. You can always adjust these to your preference but start with these settings and see how it goes! Enjoy!

Q: What’s the voltage on this . Will this work in 110& 220v.
A: Hi there Sandy. Thanks for your question! The 120V models can only be plugged into a 120V outlet and used within North America. Using them in another region and with an adapter will void the warranty. However, we're happy to say that we make certain models for use in other regions! Please contact our support team and we can provide details about the models available in other areas.
