Q: Will this fit a whole chicken?
A: I would say that, in general, this air fryer is not large enough to fit a whole chicken.
submitted bycat - 5 years agoA: Hello Mindy, We would like to inform you that the dimensions of the inner pot, for the Ninja® 4qt Air Fryer, are 8.5 inches in diameter and 4.5 inches deep. If the chicken is small enough to fit, then you can cook it. We hope this information helps. The Customer Support Team
submitted byNinja Community Support - 6 years agoBrand expertA: The food goes into a drawer that is not a circle shape. Look at the pictures for this model and other brands - the drawers are all about the same shape.
submitted byBeth4info - 3 years agoA: Deep will be top to bottom depth, whereas diameer will be across, front to back
submitted byVC - 5 years agoA: Deep is from top to bottom.

Q: Does this air fryer bake as well?
A: Yes you can bake anything. Mac and Cheese - cakes- little pies.
submitted bytoto - 6 years agoA: Again, a confusing and contridictory answer. Someone is saying you can bake anything (without explaining how as there is no listed cooking fuction) and then the team responds with the list of the cooking functions (that doesn't include baking) without answering the question which I would have to take to mean, "your guess is as good as mine" or "you can try it but we aren't advising anything or without advising how one might try to bake cookies or anything) I would think the true answer is more like you would have to experiment depending on what you're baking.
submitted bychellamia - 5 years agoA: Roasting = Baking. But instead of veggies or meats, its sweets.

Q: Do you have to preheat this air fryer before cooking?
A: We do suggest that you preheat the air fryer for an even crispy finish.

Q: are all the materials it is made of safe and non-toxic?
A: This reportedly has BPA per California's disclosure. This answer is not very honest.
submitted byHonest Answer - 6 years agoA: Hello Nancy, We are happy to inform you that the basket and crisper plate for the Ninja® 4qt Air Fryer are both made out of aluminum and have a non-stick ceramic coating. The ceramic coating is PTFE-free, FDA approved and food safe. We hope this information helps. The Customer Support Team
submitted byNinja Community Support - 6 years agoBrand expertA: I bought this product and then read about BPA in the product. Is this an issue with Ninja Air Fryers only, or all leading brand Air Fryers have the same issue? Why don't other Fryers have Cal Proposition 65 listed? This is very confusing, please clarify.

Q: can i put frozen french fries in it? ans fry them without thawing out first?
A: Yes you can!
submitted byNinja Community Support - 3 years agoBrand expertA: Yes and they turn out really well. I got rid of my deep fryer and made Ore-Ida french fries in 10 minutes using this Ninja. Much faster then using the over and a whole lot better tasting and texture

Q: Does this Ninja 4qt AF101 come with the metal rack seen in the video? It is not seen in other pictures or the written details. It was included last year when we bought ours and now want to give it as a gift.
A: Mine DID NOT come with the metal rack! That's the whole reason I went with this one. Not happy!
submitted byNot Happy - 2 years agoA: We would like to confirm that the multi-layer is included with this machine.

Q: Can you bake with this? I don't see the word, "bake" on the front but I think the narrative does mention baking.
A: If you get this version and not the larger, use the roasting feature but you may need to alter the time/temp. You may have to do that anyways even if you get the larger version.
