Q: Will this mount onto the Intex Excursion 5 ?

A: Thank you for your question. This trolling motor is manufactured to fit the Intex boat models challenger 3, Seahawk 2, 3, 4, Excursion 3, 4, 5 and Mariner 3 and 4. Additionally, it fits many other inflatable boats.

Q: Is there a recommended battery/power-supply or specific terminology to use in shopping for battery/power-supply to get the right item the first time? I assume I am looking for 12V marine battery but do I need a specific form factor? Side post? Top post?

A: Thank you for your question, I would look up a 12V marine battery for what you are using the battery for and if you have any more information about the item you are using the battery I would add it !

Nice Trolling Motorq
We are using this on our Mariner 3 and it works great! Wish it could go faster but its fine. It has lights on it that tells you how much battery life you have left so thats helpful.

Trolling Motor
A little heavy but do what is supposed to do. Even on fastest speed, it's not very fast. To give an idea, my wife in the boat and me on my kayak, I go a little faster than her at full throttle.

Great product.
I would recommend this to anyone. It's been a good product for me. It's sturdy and does what I expected it to do. It's a good addition to my boating.
