Q: Why did they change the smell? I've been using the original for years and the previous scent smelled a ton better!

    THE NEW REDO IS AWFUL!

    This new redo of the "Original" is not good. The smell is HORRIBLE, it burns my nose and makes my sinuses hurt.... and breaks me out... like my skin was burned!!!!!!!!!! The "WITH FLAXSEED OIL" was soooo AMAZING!!!! NO QUALMS ABOUT IT, WHATSOEVER!!!! Everyone I know that uses Irish Spring stopped using it over the last 6 to 7 months. It's not just the color of the soap and packaging that's changed, but the scent. Why can't we ALL get with FLAXSEED OIL, and one without?! I am sure nobody would mind the 1 with Aloe being gone to compensate keeping the new "Original" and then the one that we started getting in 2021 until 2025 that was "ORIGINAL WITH FLAXSEED OIL!!!!" PLEASE!!!! 🙏🏻

    Formula change, quality change, not worth purchasi

    I’m sorry to say that I cannot continue to support this product. The formula change has eliminated the good fragrance that was once the key selling point for the soap. I’m not really sure why they changed the formula but the soap is now just an ordinary, I have cheap soap product.

    It smells like a chemical cleaner now. It doesn’t smell nice like it used to. I have used Irish Spring for years, but now will be buying some other soap that smells nice and not like a pipe or drain cleaner. The makers of Irish Spring really messed up!!

    Disappointing New Formulation

    This new formulation is disappointing. Bring back the original scent! This flax seed oil is messing up the total experience that I used to love for decades. BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL SCENT! WE DO NOT WANT THIS FLAX SEED THING!

    Flaxseed has ruined it

    I used to use Irish Spring for 30 years. Now with the introduction of flax seed, it does not smell the same and actually stinks. They recently changed the label and dropped that it had flaxseed in it so I bought it again thinking they went back to the original but it was all a lie. It is still made with flax seed and smells bad. I guess they thought if they removed the flaxseed labeling no one would notice. True fans of the original sent notice right away. I have switched to Dove fresh sent for men.

    No Irish Spring aroma anymore!

    I recently restocked my Irish Spring bar soap (marked "Original) and also purchased some IS Original Body Wash. Boy, was I disappointed. Neither Product had any aroma at all! Not even a hint of smell. The wonderful smell is the soul reason I have always used Irish Spring. I LOVE the smell!! I won't be purchasing Irish Spring products again. I may as well use Ivory Soap!

    This “new” classic clean bar soap is disgusting. Very slimey and leaves an oily residue on skin. It’s like showering in cooking oil. Steer clear! Irish Spring has missed the mark!
