Terrible lawnmower. Pulls grass out of my lawn instead of cutting correctly. Do not buy!

This tool left a deep impression on me.
This lawn mower takes up very little space in our garage, which is ideal. The battery is interchangeable with the lawn mower and the matching edge trimmer. Compared with other lawn mowers, it is also very quiet. If your yard is small, I highly recommend this lawn mower.

Works well
I did this on level 2 setting with scarifier. The only drawback is having an extension cord to power it.

Very easy to use, I liked the functionality.
I\'ve only used this a couple times so far, but it was very easy to use and does a great job. I would imagine this to be a small to medium sized household use only. Would not suffice for commercial or giant lawns.

Best Value For Money
Contrary to the negative remarks about this product, and frankly others as well, it does an excellent job at what it was designed for detaching and aerating. This IS NOT a lawnmower. To properly utilize this tool it is necessary to prep the area first by mowing the grass at the mowers lowest setting. The large bag holds little more half of the amount of detritus an average size mower bag will hold, but is sufficient to the size of this product. In short, this is the best value for money of inexpensive dethatcher/scarifiers on the market.

Works great
Excellent purchase, my yard had not been power raked for five years. Set the machine on the second highest setting and it did the job perfect. Be sure to mow your lawn before you power rake. And cut the grass pretty short. The machine is just great. Only downside is the bag is small and even then you can't fill it up full. Once it's half full you can take it off and shake the grass to the back of the bag or just dump it. I have a golf cart that I pull a little dump trailer behind and it came in extremely handy.

Not worth it
The collection bag is so small that you have to empty it about every 4 to 5 minutes. I still found it more efficient to just rake up the grass. It is somewhat lightweight but is still heavy. There are lots of dos and don'ts to remember. Very important to read the manual.

Bagger
I don't write reviews, in fact this is my first but felt compelled given this little thing exceeded my expectations. Light weight, ample power, and didn't want quit no matter how hard I pushed it. Throw the bagger away unless you're thatching 10' sqr. feet of Astor turf where nothing's coming up. Put a small bungie cord to hold the bagger flap up a bit to let the tines breath and you have a work horse. Just did nearly a half acre with the thatcher and the scarifier and it about wore me out. It didn't quit not matter how hard I pushed it. Used over 15 home improvement big paper lawn bags. It's rare that something for this price exceeds expectations. That's said, I just got it but I have hope. PS. The instructions need some American idiom - meaning they make sense if you follow you're instincts

dethatcher
I was worried about this when purchased? Received it, took out of box and dethatched my zoysia grass. The amount of thatch removed was huge. I have a small lot, this did wonderfully on it. I love how light it is.

Instructions?
there were no instructions, so I had look at the picture on the ama web page, the part with the power buton, had the two plastic part where the screws were to go, both were broken, I had to redrill the holes and use some bolts and nuts I had. with all this it took longer to put to together than it should have........

Rake functionality isn't as powerful as a lawnmower with bag
I was really ecstatic to use the rake attachment after having de-thatched my entire yard, however it fell flat on its face. Raking feature does not come anywhere close to using a bagged lawn mower :/

Wow this is awesome
My lawn was looking a little sad and I honestly tried to use a dethatching rake but... C'mon doing a whole lawn by hand is nearly impossible. So I splurged and bought this electric dethatcher and 20 minutes later I had filled two lawn-sized garbage bags with what looked like brown hay. I put down some seed and fertilizer and two weeks later my lawn looks like we put down new sod. And, if anyone wants a hand dethatcher rake I have one available at a discount.

This thing is just Awesome!
The Goplus dethatcher is an amazing tool to have. That machine bailed a whole bail of grass in about 1 hour. (See picture). This thing is self propelled no need for hard pushing. It's have an adjustment level to work at any height. I have Kentucky Fecues in my back yard and Bermuda in the front. I had to make two adjustments and the Goplus did its thing. If I had to rake my yard it would have taken 3 hours to do...it only took the Goplus 1 hour to do the job. I wished I've known about a tool like this 20 years ago. The Goplus will save you a lot of time with your lawn however I only used it once to dethach my lawn. I will use it to aerate my lawn this fall. I cannot say how long the Goplus will last but if I can get thru aeration of my lawn this fall, the cost would've been well worth purchase price. The other thing to worry about is replacement parts. I tried looking didn't find any. No I don't need any parts, I just like knowing that I could purchase when needed. I will buy the Goplus again if it breaks without hesitation!
