The J.L. Childress Gate Check Bag for Single & Double Strollers has been a go-to travel bag for parents for over a decade. This durable yet lightweight bag fits and easily covers most single and double strollers, and features a drawstring closure with adjustable lock, reinforced seams and dual carry handles. Q: Does this fit a single chariot jogger?

A: I don't know what stroller you are asking about either, but we used this stroller bag a couple times for a Baby Jogger City Mini GT and it kept the stroller in good condition. The bag got a little beat up, but it was a good low priced option to keep it clean and in tact. We used it for gate checking the stroller, not baggage checking it.
submitted byK H - 8 years agoA: Hi, I don't have that stroller so I don't know but I have used it for both Uppababy Cruz and once folded, it fit's great. I will say, the bag is not super durable so if you want something that really is sturdy and will protect your stroller from getting beat up by airport baggage people, go with a different bag. I used this bag at gate check and my stroller definitely got tossed around and scratched in this bag.

A: The J.L. Childress Gate Check Travel Bag for Standard & Double Strollers will fit the Nuna Mixx folded stroller frame (with the seat detached). The seat may also fit in the bag, detached from the stroller when folded, but we don’t have that confirmation.

A: This gate check travel bag will only fit the stroller. You can not fit the car seat in there with the stroller and we do not recommend doing that either. We do offer gate check bags specifically for car seats.

I was initially impressed with this stroller travel bag — it fit our Safety 1st Grand 2-in-1 car seat perfectly and later held our UPPAbaby Cruz V2 with plenty of room to spare. It made getting through the airport much easier, and it was convenient to use for gate-checking. Unfortunately, the material didn’t hold up well. After just one flight, there were noticeable rips and holes in the bottom of the bag. Following our round-trip, the damage was significant enough that the bag is no longer usable. While it served its purpose in the short term, I wouldn’t recommend it for more than one or two uses, especially if you’re looking for something durable for frequent travel.

I don’t have an upcoming flight to use it, but I anticipate it will protect the stroller from dirt and keep it clean, but extra padding from a padded bag would be helpful to prevent damage.

I haven’t used this for travel yet, but I can confirm this DOES fit the Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 with the wheels ON! It’s a snug fit side-to-side with the back wheels attached, but it does fit and close securely. If you choose to remove the back wheels you’d have an easier time getting the bag on and off the stroller, but you definitely don’t have to remove the front wheel—just turn it so it’s flush against the stroller and you’re good to go. I love that when not in use, the storage pouch is permanently attached to the inside of the bag so you don’t have to worry about losing/finding that extra piece.

Used this for my flight but it does not stay on at all. My flight attendant came back with my stroller and the cover completely off. He said it fell right off and the draw string doesn’t stay shut. Defeats the purpose!

After two flights (one round trip vacation), there is a good sized rip, and the bag is dirty... but our stroller is still clean. This is not durable protection for your stroller going through the rough handling of an airport baggage department. It's definitely better than having nothing to cover it. Realistically, to get solid protection for the stroller, it seems like we'll need to buy a new bag before every trip.

I used this for a single stroller and it worked okay. It will not fit my city mini double even with all 4 wheels removed. I doubt it will fit any side-by-side double stroller.

It is true that this bag rips easily, but it serves its purpose of protecting my stroller while flying, so we still use it. So far, it has lasted through 10 flights. It is a little difficult to fold up and shove into the attached bag when not in use, but I pass that frustrating task on to my husband.

We started to get ready to get on the plane, hands full, baby, carry on bags, separated the car seat from the stroller and had a stranger helping us, all to find out our baby jogger would not fit at all because of the wheel size. I never would bother buying this even if it does fit your stroller though because we also bought the bag for the car seat and it was destroyed on only one flight there and back. Spend more money on the other type of bag that is more protective and durable.
