J World Sunrise 18" Rolling Backpack - Block Navy

Overall, it seems nice, rolls easy and the handle goes up and down without issue. My 6th grader needed a new backpack with a laptop pocket for middle school, and this seemed like a good option. It wasn't until after he had already loaded it up and was waiting for the bus that we noticed one edge of the bag is damaged. It looks like the sides of the seam didn't match up so it was just glued together. Disappointed in that, but still hoping it lasts since it wasn't cheap. Not sure if I would recommend this backpack.

Great quality and spacious. My daughter loves it. She has been using it for a couple of months now and it is working well for her.

I bought this item and I had to return it because the backpack was just too small for it to be a rolling backpack. It wasn’t even worth to be a rolling backpack. The fabric was a cheap polyester, not durable at all. I like the design that it had a cover for the wheels, but the pepper was just too small to be rolled usually things backpacks that you can roll or a large, large, larger and more worth rolling. This pack was not worth rolling that I could just pick it up and put it on my shoulder because it was so small.

Strap broke 3 weeks into school starting for a 4th grader

Did not even make it through a school year. My daughter is careful and respectful of her belongings. We received first week in September and already both wheels have fallen off and one strap is broken so she can’t even carry it. Super disappointed considering how expensive it was.

I purchased a Sunrise rolling backpack on 11/18/23 for $41.25 and a wheel fell off less than a year after the purchase. I contacted J World on 11/28/24 to ask how it can be fixed. J World responded that they can offer me a replacement backpack for the wholesale price of $35. I responded by questioning whether $35 was the wholesale price given that other designs of the backpack sell on Amazon.com for $40. I also indicated I would file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau since J World is not replacing or fixing the backpack, J World never indicated the actual length of the warranty prior to their email on12/2/24, and I had no reason to rush to file a claim as soon as the wheel fell off since I did not know what the warranty length was (the warranty period is indicated to be between 1 and 3 years). Also, not providing the warranty length prior to or with the purchase violates Federal Trade Commission Act § 5(a) and Connecticut General Statutes § 42-110b (most states have nearly identical laws to my state of residence), which prohibit engaging in unfair or deceptive acts or practices in trade or commerce. Connecticut’s § 42-110g and similar laws in most states also provide for attorney’s fees, court costs, and punitive damages for violations. Since J World wrote in their email to me “we are offering 1-year manufacturer's warranty for rolling bags and 3 years for regular bags”, it appears that J World is trying to conceal the one year warranty period on rolling bags prior to purchase, since rolling bags often do not last as long as regular bags. Buyer beware.

The size is wrong, it says it is 20” when the truth is 18”. I asked for a replacement and they sent it to me again in 18”.

Very nice bag, but it is the 18 inch, not the 20 inch laptop bag.

Not fit for purpose. The strap broke off of this with less than 3 months of use. This item is too expensive to break so quickly.

It is OK before one of the wheels fell off after 6 months including a vacational summer and rendered useless. I will try to contact the manufacturer to see how the warranty works, will report back.

The backpack was great for my 11yr old son, he used it one academic year Aug. ‘22- May ‘23, it’s been stored since the school year ended. He wanted to use it again this year, after a couple of days back at school it seemed to want to fall apart…we’ll say 12 back at school and the wheel falls off. The backpack is no longer functional and it is going in the trash. It’s unfortunate that the quality isn’t better as most backpacks for elementary students usually last more than one academic year since they don’t have to carry so much yet.

It was fine for a few weeks and then the wheels broke off. This is the 3rd backpack with the same issue and they only last a few months. Quality has gone way down and unfortunately I won't be buying from this brand again.

Good quality of the whole product in general, what you see at the picture is the product you receive, and a good service of delivery, it delayed 2 days more but the always notify where is your package and delivered in perfect conditions.

My granddaughter loves this backpack. It’s just the right size to hold her school things and the organizer in the front pocket is really handy.

I immediately returned this rolling backpack because it was very cheaply made. The idea is good the execution of design and choices of components is very poor. I looked elsewhere for a wheeled backpack or laptop bag that is constructed better.
