Janet Jackson - Number Ones "LP edition , 12 tracks” (Target Exclusive, Vinyl)

Love Janet, glad to have a copy of her greatest hits. Have great memories listening to her growing up. Enjoying the splash of red in my collection.

This is a fun 2-LP set of Janet's Hits. Just what you remember --- great to reminisce when life was easier. The transparent red vinyl played clearly, no muffles, ticks. or skips. Slight warping and rough edges on my copy. That could have happened from storage or transport. One area on the outer edge looks like there was a small chip out of it; probably happened when the record was cut after pressing. I was never a Janet fan, but being a huge fan of the 80s, this was a must-add to my collection.

This is an album that should have been a single disk. Really, only three songs per side. Price should be lowered as the quality of the packaging is not good. Music is great and so is the red vinyl look. No issues with the sound quality as others may need a better needle. I just expected more from Target!

I purchased this record when it was on sale. It plays beautifully and the translucent red color is cool. It doesn't have all of Janet Jackson's hits but if you're a fan of music from the Eighties and Nineties, or grew up in either decade, you should definitely buy this.

this is a great album. I would highly recommend this album for to everyone has all of her number one hits. The color of this album is red and looks good when it's on the turntable

Great Album. Great Sound

Janet is a legend and all of these songs are amazing but the reason I’m not giving this a 5 is because it’s too short! I get that the original cd version is 30+ tracks but they could have easily made this a 16-20 track double vinyl. 3 songs on each side? Give me a break! Missing so many great songs… Black Cat, Love Will Never Do, If, I Get Lonely, Got Til It’s Gone, All Nite, Feedback, etc. Also would have loved for this to have been a gatefold. Still worth picking up though. The red vinyl is gorgeous.

Good point…Double album Compilation looks great and sounds awesome with almost no surface noise. Now the bad points….You get ONLY 12 single edit versions of songs spread out over 2 albums (3 short songs per side!). There’s plenty of space for the full length or even extended mixes. Failure to use a gatefold album cover with protective sleeves. The packaging is cheap on every level.

The packaging for the vinyl is terrible it ATLEAST should have been in a gatefold. I don’t think there was much thought out into this clearly. The only reason I’m not giving it three stars is because it’s Janet Jackson

I would steer clear of this vinyl, at least the limited edition translucent red pressing. The sound is terrible. I have other Janet albums on vinyl and the sound quality of the songs featured on here compared to the original albums is terrible.

The mastering is bad on these vinyl pressings. Too much bass and mids/highs were muddy. Compared it to my original vinyl which was crisp and vibrant. Not to mention a few tracks were edited and didn’t need to be with only three tracks per side. So disappointed! Not a nice way to treat a collection of classics from a classic artist! ... Sorry Janet, thank goodness for my OG vinyl!

Note that this edition has a very abbreviated track list compared to the original release. The sound quality is good and the red vinyl is pretty.

This is really well put together. The album cover and red vinyl is so awesome. My wife and I listened to it the other night on my Fluence turntable. The sound quality was so good. It’s missing the hit song “black cat” but other than that. No complaints

Great compilation, beautifully presented! Ms. Jackson never disappoints! Every song is a treasured classic that we will be listening to for years to come, if you’re into vinyl, buy this one now!
