I would give this zero stars if I could. It was $60 and completely fell apart the first time I washed it. Didn’t even last half the school year!! And target wouldn’t return it since it was past the 90 day return window. What a waste! Save your money. Jansport is not worth it!

I have gotten a lot of use out of my JanSport Big Student backpack. It can easily fit all of my school supplies, (which is a lot) and looks good too! I love my backpack, and can't wait to try out other new colors!

Growing up in the 90s/00s, Jansport backpacks were durable and had that nice, canvas material. They were backpacks that lasted through your siblings. These are not the same Jansports. The logo is the same, the quality is not there, the material has cheapened. My sons water bottle pocket already broke and he's only used it twice for sleepovers, not even for school yet. He's 7 and using a 14oz bottle! Insane for the price tag!

Please don’t purchase this. The water bottle net is already breaking and falling apart after a couple of uses. This backpack is expensive for it to be falling apart already.

I loved the backpack, I've been using it for 3ish years. The only issue is that the water bottle sleeve ripped early on and I had to cut it off. Everything else is amazing and works great for what I need.

I am a teacher and I bought this backpack because I needed a new bag. The backpack is functional and the various pockets and compartments help with organization. The water bottle pocket fits my 32 oz Nalgene. There is not much padding in the laptop compartment. The zippers frequently get caught in the fabric of their cover. I’m not sure how durable this bag is in the long-term. Other than that, it is serving the purpose that I need it for.

I first got this bag when I was in 8th grade, today I am in the end of my junior year of HS. Sadly the bag finally gave out, but it lasted me around 4-5 years of continuous use, which is pretty good👍

Bought this for my daughter prior to 6th grade, hoping for it to last through middle school. Her prior LLBean backpack lasted her for 3rd-5th grade with only minor, cosmetic fraying. By February the laptop sleeve zipper had been broken, but I was able to shorten the zipper so she could use it (this was highly annoying). Then the zipper began to separate in the middle of the pack, rendering the laptop sleeve useless. Back to LLBean it is! Jansport was a trusted brand, but I guess they decided to merge with Temu or something, and still charge Jansport prices.

Got the strawberry print and it’s adorable! Since the fabric is a light color, it does tend to get dirtier easier. I treat mine with 3M fabric spray to help protect the fabric from getting stains/dirt on it. But it’s a great backpack. Lots room, pockets and compartments. Good to travel with.

Great backpack, roomy, many pockets for organization, but the water bottle pocket is still being made with that mesh that rips! Change the pocket and make it with the same durable material as the backpack!
