My purchase was rather impulsive. I contemplated the first days after ordering where I would be using this speaker. I already have plenty of fixed speakers at home but none are really that portable or easy to move. The compact size and rather loud and great sound invites you to use the JBL flip 7 in a lot of places. We used it in the garden whilst barbecuing, whilst taking a shower and more. My girlfriend even used it at school to play some music for a dance project with her students. The build quality seems rugged but of a great quality. No squeaks or cracks anywhere. I’m personally a fan of how the woven fabric and silicone like materials feel like in my hand. The accessories to hook up a cord or hook is quite smart and sustainable. As those are the most likely to break, an easy connection system allows to easily / cheaply replace them. Personally I like to combine the cord and hook at the same time. There are only two downsides. One, a charging cable should have been provided with the speakers. Two, the lack of compatibility with previous generation JBL flip speakers. To me these points aren’t too much of an issue but it would have elevated this speaker from great to perfect.

I bought this to replace the old JBL I have. The sound is good and it is a nice portable speaker. The downside is it came with no charging cable. I had to buy one to charge my speakers. For the price it should have came with something to charge it with.

To help reduce electronic waste and because many of our customers already have several USB-C cables from other devices, new JBL products like the Flip 7 no longer include a charging cable in the box. The speaker is compatible with any standard USB-C cable, which you were able to use. We do try to make this clear in the product information, but we understand this can be an adjustment. Wow, what an amazing sound! Have the JBL flip7 now for about 3 weeks. Had to pair it to my Iphone and tablet. So easy peasy. What a magnificent sound from such a small speaker. Used the JBL @home but most of the time in the kindergarten. It is a room fiiling sound with a nice bass. Was always a fan of the big brother Harman Kardon, but JBL Flip7 stole my heart already. It is water resistant as well, also a noce to have in the kindergarten. I hope the battery will stay as good as it is now.

This was a birthday present for my 19 year son. We have accumulated multiple blue tooth speakers over the years for use indoors and outdoors, at the beach, or pool but I'd say this one is hands down the best. The quality of the sound is spectacular and we are looking forward to using a lot this summer..

We appreciate your feedback on our JBL Flip 7. Please check the equalizer settings of your phone and set it to default. We also recommend trying to connect it with a different device or play audio using a different application. You may also try doing a Factory Reset. Reset may fix the issue, much in the way rebooting a computer or phone fixes many problems. And then you will have to manually re-pair again. To do this, please press play and plus buttons for more than two seconds. If you need more help, please contact our customer support.

I returned it. It turned out to not be compatable w/ another JBL flip I have. Since I couldn’t pair them I had no need for it. Also,I didn’t think the sound was as good as the older one.

With an increased weight to this unit it packs a sound punch that is noticeable different than other previous models. With the new edition of a sound boost, man this thing is even more amazing than its previous mode. I love the new loop and carabiner. It clips perfectly on the pool bag. I'm keeping this one and the old model is now my sons. Get yours today. Don't wait.

Noticeably sturdy out of the box, so was eager to connect and see what degree of volume and audio quality this thing pushed out. WOW!!! Let me tell you, after 30+ years of being a music junkie and cycling through more portable speakers than I care to admit, the JBL Flip 7 is seriously impressive. Maybe, perfect? First off, the volume on this little beast is ridiculous. I had it cranked in my bathroom while showering, and I could enjoy the volume - the highs - the mids - the lows - over the water and fan. Super CRISP at the highest volumes - bathroom, garage, kitchen, backyard, etc. Did NOT expect such quality and projection from something this size. The bass response floored me. I've always been skeptical about portable speakers actually delivering low-end that you can feel, but the Flip 7 proves me wrong. Put on some proper 90s hip-hop or Led Zep and you get that chest-thumping thump I usually only expect from larger systems. Those passive radiators on the ends aren't just for show!! Sound clarity across the spectrum is where this thing really shines. The separation between instruments is crystal clear - you can pick out individual guitar parts, vocal layers, and percussion elements that get muddied on lesser speakers. Battery life is solid too - took it camping last weekend and got through an entire day and evening of music without needing a recharge. The waterproofing came in handy when it started raining, didn't miss a beat. This thing delivers!! If you're like me and music isn't just background noise but something you actually listen to, the Flip 7 is worth every penny. Might grab another one just to pair them up for stereo sound in the workshop.

As the latest model in their popular Flip series, it’s a compact speaker that delivers impressive performance with a few upgrades that make it even better for everyday use, road trips, beach days, and just about anything else. The Flip 7 keeps JBL’s signature cylindrical design but adds a few subtle improvements. The outer fabric is now more rugged and grippy, giving it a more premium feel and better handling. The passive bass radiators on both ends have been refined for a sleeker look and deeper sound. For outdoor use, the Flip 7 now boasts an IP68 rating—an upgrade from the previous IP67—making it even more resistant to dust and water. JBL also introduced a new Push-Lock system that lets you switch out the included carrying strap for a snap hook, giving you more flexibility on the go. The most noticeable upgrade is in the sound. JBL has clearly tuned the drivers for a more balanced and dynamic listening experience. Highs are crisp, mids are warm, and the bass is deeper and fuller without distortion—even at higher volumes. I own a handful of JBL products, but the sound quality makes you think that you are listening to a much larger speaker. This single speaker fills my large backyard with the great sound quality, that I have come to expect. Even though we have not had summer weather, I took it to the beach, and it sounded great. I love the interchangeable clip and finger strap. I hope that they come out with a wrist strap, or a bicycle attachment, hint, hint. The Flip 7 is definitely my new favorite Bluetooth.
