About the Book

In this illustrated nonfiction book, readers will meet Jewish changemakers--past and present--who have made a lasting impact on the world.

Book Synopsis

You may have heard of Anne Frank, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Marilyn Monroe, but what about Susan Faludi, Rochelle Shoretz or Doña Gracia?

Whether you know their names or not, these women were changemakers who contributed to breaking down barriers in their own ways. One of them has explored space, another experienced injustice and fought to make the world a better place and many have accomplished great deeds simply by daring to be themselves. Jewish Changemakers is a biographical collection of heroines and gender-diverse trailblazers, their life stories and achievements that celebrates courage, creativity and diversity. Their stories dismantle stereotypical conceptions about the Jewish people and showcase the incredible depth of Jewish identity. These inspiring women will remind readers that they have the power to choose their own path.
