Jockey Men's EverActive VentraCool Air Jock Strap S Grey Dove

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gave the Men’s VentraCool Jock Strap a full-day test today, including an hour commute each way, sitting at my desk, walking around the office, and basically just going about a normal workday. For reference, I’m 6'2", around 230 lbs, with a 38" waist. I wore a Large, although after wearing them all day I’m thinking an XL might actually be a better fit for me. Apparently my pride got in the way of choosing the right size. 😂 The first thing I noticed is the breathability. These really do let things breathe. The ventilated areas and stretchy material make a noticeable difference, and I never got that hot, trapped feeling you can get with some underwear. They're also really comfortable overall. The pouch has plenty of stretch, so I never felt like I was being squeezed or pulled into an uncomfortable position. I did notice the pouch compressing things a little a few times while sitting at my desk, but it wasn't a big deal. The support is good without being overly aggressive. Everything stays where it should, but these don't have that super-compressed athletic feeling. There's enough freedom of movement that I pretty much forgot about them during the day. The straps are about an inch wide and definitely more comfortable than the old-school jockstrap straps I remember from years ago. That said, they could be a little softer. I noticed the right strap rubbing a little in the crease where my thigh meets my butt. It wasn't painful, just something I became aware of. I also noticed a little pinching where the straps connect to the waistband, which again makes me think the Large might be slightly too small for me. As far as moisture-wicking, they did a good job. I stayed comfortable and dry throughout the day, and the combination of the fabric and ventilation worked well even during the commute. Durability seems good so far. I've only had them through limited wear, so I don't want to pretend I can judge long-term durability yet, but the fabric, straps, and stitching still look and feel like they're holding up well. Overall, I'm pretty impressed. These aren't just something I'd consider for working out—they worked really well as everyday underwear. After a full workday and two hours of commuting, I didn't have any major complaints or feel like I needed to change out of them.

I bought for running a few months ago. Have several of the previous design. It’s breathable however as other comments say where the straps come together has changed and not for the better. Additional pinching and sewn apart which increases friction in the wrong places.

These are poorly designed and constructed. The strap is folded over where it attaches to the pouch and causes irritation on the underside of the…well…. I really wanted to l like these because I was excited for a newly designed jockstrap and I enjoyed the briefs very much.

Good fit, true to size. Go to during summer heat. I typically have to size up due to larger glutes and smaller waist but the fit is perfect. Good support and roomy.

I really wanted to love these. But their is a gap between the two straps where they are attached at the pouch that will pinch you. Very uncomfortable to say the least. The pouch material and the fit are awesome. Not sure why Jockey changed this design from the other Jockey jockstraps I own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are very comfy, I don’t notice a huge difference between these and the Sport Jock Strap, both are excellent and breathable and moisture wicking. These might air dry a bit faster post workout. I love the colors, I am working on collecting them all. Excited to try these for winter sports under tights or thermals for added support.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Jockey review I’ve never been one to wear a jock strap all day outside of sports - until now! Incredibly, it feels like you’re not even wearing anything! I’ve worn these in lower impact activities like yoga and walking to more active ones like trail running and mountain biking, and have felt completely supported at all times. The thick straps work perfectly with no pinching or adjustments needed. They easily keep me cooler than anything else I wear. The pouch material flexes and moves and never gets wet or sweaty. This thing is amazing! The sizing is true to size, and I can easily wear them under every style of pants or shorts in total comfort. Jockey has made something so unique and groundbreaking with this jock, I can’t wait to get out and put more miles in!

Loved the new design of this jock and the air flow option. However, the leg straps on this new design are way too loose. There is also a spot where the straps are sewn into the pouch that is somewhat uncomfortable depending on how long you wear it. Fix these couple of issues and you'll have a perfect product.

Very comfortable in waist and crotch providing good support but not the squeeze. The options are more colorful than I would prefer.

It’s an excellent jock strap because it provides support and ventilation for my package in front. The ventilation in the pouch and the open back in particular keeps me clean and fresh, and that’s important for an active social life. The pouch material does not irritate skin and that’s important for skin that’s sensitive after hair removal.

Jockey brand jockstraps are my choice for every day wear. I find them very comfortable as they give more support as opposed to regular briefs. This new one is in every way the same plus more air flow for keeping things cooler. It’s a very hot summer here and any exertion, working or exercising, brings on a sweat in a hurry. Here is where keeping more cool helps. My continued problem with Jockey jockstraps is the leg straps are too long. Not a manufacturer situation but mine with no butt. My wife will see onto the waistband about an inch or so to make the straps tighter. Overall, a great quality product, performing as advertised and thank you Jockey for offering the best.

I knew when I first put this on that it wasn't going to be a match made in heaven. The pouch itself is soft enough and also large enough. However, the leg straps are entirely too loose. I expect the straps on a jock to fit snug, these were not even close. The spot on the bottom of the pouch where the straps attach was causing a great deal of discomfort throughout the day. It almost felt like it was pinching. Jockey missed the mark on this jock strap. This jock did allow plenty of airflow to the the leg straps being too loose. The waist was perfect.

The Ventra Cool fabric is lightweight, breathable, and does a great job keeping everything cool and dry, even during intense workouts. The support is excellent without feeling restrictive, and the waistband stays comfortably in place without digging in. The materials feel premium, the fit is true to size, and the construction has held up well after multiple washes. Whether I’m lifting weights, running, or just wearing it throughout the day, it’s consistently comfortable and performs exactly as advertised. If you’re looking for a jock strap that combines support, ventilation, and all-day comfort, I highly recommend giving this one a try.

These give great support, and accelerate the cooling by letting your shorts do the wicking and drying so you don’t just get soggy underwear that never dies out. These have really helped my running and workouts. My wife likes the look better than thongs so these are definitely a keeper.

Great fit, breathable, comfortable but where the straps are attached to the pouch, periodically it will pinch the bottom of my sack when going from sitting to standing while exercising.

The ventilation has been welcome on hot and humid days, where at least part of me can stay relatively comfortable and dry. The pouch is pleasantly snug (I prefer a tighter, more supportive fit), though it did take a couple of wearings and washings to stretch, soften, and adapt. Compared with the Sport Microfiber jockstrap, this one needs to sit a little higher on the waist, which could be why some people notice pinching, especially before the fabric softens. For me, these work well, but they’re more of a warm-weather replacement for regular briefs than a comfy addition to my work-from-home outfits or loungewear.

The waist and pouch sizing are good, but the straps fit terrible.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i like the design and airflow breathability concept and color choices in addition to new technology of moisture wicking while providing support. there is however a design defect where the straps are sewn to the bottom of the pouch, it creates a gap between the 2 straps that causes a pinching effect when going from sitting to standing. the rolled seam also is thick and noticeable when sitting for a while.
