Craftedelid from hand-selected Northern hard rock maple wood, this chopping board exemplifies environmental responsibility and quality craftsmanship. The cutting board features a reversible design, so you can use both sides when cutting various foods. For added versatility, you can even use the butcher block as a serving piece for fruits, cheeses, and more. The 1.5-inch thickness provides an elevated surface, and the board is easily portable for simple storing and maneuvering.
The board comes with a cream finish with beeswax that seals and protects the cutting board. Featuring a natural, rectangular look with a modern design will make this cutting board stand out from ordinary wood or plastic boards. When finished meal prepping, simply hand wash with soap and cool water to clean.
The solid edge grain construction is suitable for indoor or outdoor use. After you're finished using the cutting board, easily wash it by hand. Occasionally use John Boos Mystery Oil and Board Cream (sold separately) to seal the wood surface and help maintain the impressive grain and natural golden coloration.

Beautiful and functional!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely LOVED this beautiful cutting board. The gorgeous walnut grain is bold and exciting. Everything about this board screams elegance. The board is lighter than expected which makes for easy moving. The rounded edges and finger grips on the side are the perfect touch. The board has held up very nicely. It such a beautiful piece that I don’t mind it sitting on the counter. It could easily pass as decoration. The size is perfect. Not too big, not too small. Perfect to utilize as a cutting board and beautiful enough to serve on. I’m highly impressed with the quality and craftsmanship and would recommend to all my friends and family. It’s a beautiful and functional piece.

I love the size to cut all my veggies. Being a vegetarian, I cook daily, and both my husband and I love cutting veggies on this board. We eliminated plastic cutting boards as it constantly scratches and chips. Love it!

It looks beautiful, the color is rich, it's smooth to the touch, and is of excellent quality! The indents on both sides are nice for handling and moving. The size is perfect, not only for using as a cutting board but also as a charcuterie board. Maintenance of the board is easy and it comes with instructions on how to care for your board.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! This board is amazing! I’ve used it for meal preparation twice now and it’s beautiful. This is the smallest board made in this style, and I was afraid it would be too small, but it fits well on my counter. The board is a bit heavy, but I’m using a towel under it anyway to keep it from slipping. I DO NOT WANT TO BREAK THIS. The wood is very sturdy and strong. There was no penetration into the board with cutting or slicing. On top of that it’s really beautiful just sitting out. I can’t wait to use this more to see how it wears. My father has some beautiful cutting blocks of his own that have lasted over 50 years with regular care. I’m sure this one will last too. I’m going to treat it with olive oil before using it again, as it dried out a bit when I took it out of the packaging, but other than that the performance is awesome! I would definitely recommend this to any cooking enthusiast who loves quality tools. It would make an excellent and memorable gift as well.

The Best Cutting Board
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Maple Cutting Board is the best cutting board I've ever owned. It is made from solid maple wood and is handcrafted. I have been using this cutting board for a while and it doesn't have any scratches or dents. I also like that it is reversible so you won't mix your flavors or you can even make one side specifically for meats and the other side for vegetables and fruits.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Boos made in the USA maple cuttings board is beautiful. It's so beautiful to look at, that I have been enjoying chopping my vegetables on it. This Boos cutting board is made of solid American rock maple, has recessed finger grips, renewable & sustainable, and reversible. This is a great size at 18"X12" with a thickness of 1.5". It's enough cutting space to cut up and separate different veggies. This cutting board I only use it for chopping fruits and vegetables. This definitely has some weight to it and feels like a good premium quality cutting board that will last for years if taken care of correctly. I love it and use it on a daily basis when cooking. Highly recommend!!

Did not last long
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to receive this nice cutting board, as I am trying to fill my kitchen up with products that I love. Unfortunately, this one will not be staying. I was also sent the care oil and cream for this block. It arrived really dried out, tried to take care of that, but it didn't seem to help much. Not even after a few uses, the board had hairline fractures in it. I'm not one to compromise the safety and health of my family, so out it will go. I had expected more from this brand, but was let down.

I did the initial seasoning with the Mystery oil a few times before using the board cream. Just love the color after all of the seasoning. Very heavy and sturdy. This does not move around when you are using it. I have used this a few times now and I have had no issues at all. With the recommended regular maintenance and proper care, this board will last a lifetime!

Thick and strong

The board doesn't slide around on the table while you are cutting and chopping. The size is quite generous, it's perfect for the meals I cook for my family of 7. I think it's going to last a long time.
