Cracked Board
We bought the John Boos Boos Block Chop-N-Slice Series Reversible Wood Cutting Board with Eased Corners, 1-Inch Thickness, 10" x 10" x 1", Maple At first this board was great. Size was really handy for small jobs. (We have a larger Boos board that we really like). I made sure to treat with mineral oil and the Boos Board cream. Hand washed only and dried. Unfortunately after about two month the board split and we had to return it.

Terrible quality - upon first use, the board had permanent, deep gashes from our standard knife. We were just cutting a carrot. This isn't anything like the other John Boo boards we've had, not sure if we got a defective or fake one.

Love the Boos wooden cutting boards. So much better to use than the plastic ones that leave tiny bits of plastic in your food. Wood is so easy to clean, has natural antibacterial qualities and just looks pretty as well. I also like they are made in USA. Got this one at a great price around the holidays

Nice quality cutting board
This is a high quality cutting board. I will say I thought with the way the description was written that this came with the oil and wax to seal it, so I was disappointed when it arrived and it was only the board (it seemed like a much better deal when I thought it came with a board, wax and oil). I think it’s a bit pricey for what it is, but I also know it will last.

Don't waste your money on this
I’ve had this block for about 8 months. When I got it, I sealed it and treated it. I oil treat my wooden boards regularly. 8 months in and it’s splitting already (it’s 6 pieces of wood glued together). I thought this might be of higher quality, but I’m very disappointed that it is already splitting. I have 3 other wooden cutting boards I use in rotation - and this one is the worst by far.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The size of the 16” cutting board is perfect for cutting multiple veggies or some poultry. The thickness shows how durable it is and it’s easy to store. The wood is so pretty. Maintenance is a lot though with having to oil it once a month.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great wood cutting board! It has a timeless design that I think would look nice in any kitchen. It has a good weight to it, but is light enough that it’s easy to maneuver around the kitchen. I plan to use this mainly for slicing bread, but I can also see myself using it display snacks when I have people over. I would definitely recommend, and will be looking at additional products from this brand as well!

warped cutting board, but replaced
Bought a 10 x 10 inch maple wood cutting board. First one warped quickly, but was replaced for free. New board has held up well after a year. Thicker models are less likely to warp.

Poor Quality and Customer Service
I'm not sure what happened to this company but their products and customer service use to be top notch. I am saddened to see that this is no longer the case. The mail problem I have with the most recent cutting board I bought was with their quality and quality assurance. When I got the boards all the branded Boos logs were blurred and slightly off kilter, moreover, the top of the board is VERY rough, it almost seems like they missed the fine sanding step to make their board smooth. The board also came with a bunch of dry spots through it which makes me think they didn't treat the board evenly or very well. All this points to cutting corners. I used to love this brand and their products but based on this experience I can no longer recommend them. I'd shop around for a different cutting board based on my latest experience.
