I purchased him on the first day available sensing a sell out. He arrived just loose in a box, no plastic around him. He smells bad kinda like bad coffee breath but it’s like on a sexy guy so it’s not as bad- smell. I’m sure it will fade after an air out or maybe a spritz. Regardless of his musk, I love him. He is heavy and sturdy yet floppy. His bones are numbered. Hat is removable just like it shows in the pictures. The hat is very nice actually heavy velvet not cheaply made. He is a “pillow” so he will be displayed year round at my spot and just adding his hat seasonally. Do I wish he had sparkly beads and sequins like the other JD stuff I have, yes … but his size is what makes him special, so he doesn’t “need”sparkles. Haven’t named him yet.

I have been after this skeleton for YEARS and I’m so thrilled to finally be the proud owner of one. The quality is wonderful; nice weight due to the full stuffing, along with thick, canvas fabric. Easily posed, but as a few others have said, it would be nice to have the skeleton’s bones printed on the back too (e.g., visible when crossing the legs). The bonus Santa hat is also excellent in grade, with beautiful velvety fabric and a fluffy pompom at the end. Definitely worthy of 5 stars and great value for the price! He will be cherished for many years to come.

People confused by Santa hat
It's hilarious that for once Mr Bones didn't sell out instantly because it has a Santa hat and people couldn't work out if it came off or not. They put it on last, it will come off last, obviously. Anyway - their loss is my gain. I finally have one and I love it.
