Q: How much illumination or brightness does this light provide?

A: Hi - that all depends on the bulbs that you use. The sockets on this design are rated for a maximum of 60 watts, but you can get more illumination by using LED bulbs that produce more light for the same amount of watts used. So a 60 watt LED bulb is going to be far brighter than a 60 watt incandescent. Hope that helps. This is a very lively design and should be a bright accent for a patio or porch. These are perfect
These are perfect. They are beautiful. Yes, putting the glass in is purely by instinct (the instructions are lacking) but don't let that stop you. My only problem is I need one more but would like it in 21 inches to scale better next to my front door. That is the only issue I have, I need one more made bigger. They are really stunning and my neighbors have already asked where I got them. My wife is over the moon!

Great addition to my covered porch
I purchased 4 of these lights. Put 1 on each side of two entry doors. I am considering putting 1 more on side of porch with no entry door. I love this light.
