Poorly made-mediocre construction.
This product arrived dented as the packaging did not protect the contents which was disappointing. I was seeking arm that held the roll close to the center spindle for easy even tearing. However the product does not have enough "spring function" to hold the decreassing circumferance of the paper towel roll as it is used. Oddly the arm only "springs" when the roll is new and large on the spindle. This product is of a lower standard in weight and function than the OXO Simply Tear paper towel holder also sold at Target Stainless steel. Buy the OXO paper towel holder instead.

Damaged
The item arrived and has to be assembled. I was expecting it to be in one piece. There was a chip on the base. I thought it was dirt and I tried to clean it off, but it wasn't dirt; it was a chip. Also, it didn't work as described. The arm is not tight enough to hold firm against the paper towel roll in order to tear off a piece with one hand.
