Adorable backpack! My daughter is in 2nd grade and loves it. The backpack and lunch bag are well made and sturdy for her. She only brings to school a folder, a school iPad, a pencil case with crayons/pencils, water bottle, and a hoodie. She does bring home 3 weekly library books and a school homework workbook (about the size of a coloring book) without any problems fitting it all in the backpack too. This backpack fits perfectly on her back as a 7-year old. In my opinion, it’s a great backpack and lunch bag for ages 5-9 (or generally grades K-4). If there were heavier books or more items, it would not hold up long-term or be big enough. The cutest and unique part is that her lunchbox snaps onto the front of it! It’s very well attached with two easy-to-snap buckles that she clips onto the lunch bag. There is also velcro on the backpack (underneath where the lunch box snaps in), to hold it in place. No issues at all with my 7-year old attaching and detaching her lunch bag. It also stays in place. There are side pockets for her 17 oz. water bottle. The lunch bag is a standard size. I can easily fit a juice box, sandwich, yogurt packet, pretzels/snacks, and a gel ice pack (purchased separately to keep perishables cold) in the lunch bag. The zippers are sturdy and well made. Finally, the pink design (blue-raspberry) is very cute - bright & cheerful. I am happy with my purchase and hope this review helps you! Happy school year! :-)
