Kamado Joe All Natural Lump Charcoal 20 lb

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is probably the best charcoal I've used so far, smells and tastes great.

I used the Kamado xl lump that came with my Classic Joe. It worked well and gave a good smoke flavor without having to add addition wood chunks.

Came with my Big Joe bundle. A bit harder to get started than briquets, but quite efficient once going.

I have had some really good Charcoal from Kamado Joe and some bad with really small pieces.

This is the only Lump Charcoal I use with my Classic Joe, Huge pieces for smoking and smaller for grilling. I've tried countless brands over the years and this is hands down the best, all other lump for me seems to leave too smokey a taste, something the kids and wife do not enjoy. Yes i know how to grill and have never had that issue with this lump, its quick to light, slow to burn, and leaves no after taste on the food. When i smoke using this lump there is no need for extra wood chunks as this has a perfect smoke flavor by itself. Grab a bag you wont regret it!!

Been using big block for a while. Found it to have good burn times and pretty consistent burn rate, truely big block. Good stuff.

I have always considered brand supplies as a scam. Sell a cheap inkjet printer and make your money on the ink cartridges. I tried a few different lump charcoal brands before ever buying Kamado Joe Big Block. Some were downright awful. Finally broke down and bought a bag of Big Block. It is competitively priced and has a great flavor profile. It is now my primary charcoal.

I purchased this to smoke a beef brisket and it turned out great. Easy to light and easy to control the temperature.

Charcoal burns hot and not alot of sparks too. A lot of big chunks too.

I highly recommend this charcoal over any other brand, it burns slowly without any smell to the food

Lights very easily and and has a good burn time too. Clean and efficient burn and leaves the taste of smokiness to your meats. This is the only charcoal we use

I bought a half pallet of the Kamado Joe Lump Charcoal. This charcoal provides the best consistency. Lights up easily and burns hot and burns long. Nice size chunks that provide a great smoke flavor but not overwhelming.

Love this and how good it works. Lasts good amount of time and have big and small pieces to chose from depending on cook.

When they say Big Block charcoal they mean it. The quality of the charcoal is great. You don’t get any of that nasty dirty smoke you get with inferior charcoal. The size of the charcoal is great for low and slow as well as high heat cooking. Great all around charcoal. Plus you can always break up super large pieces if you need smaller size for say a Joe Jr.

These burn great, nice and hot and the flavor it gives to the food is unmatched. I was very happy with it, especially for the price.

For the long cook times, these have performed exactly as needed.

One thing I have had to learn from trial and error is to always buy good quality charcoal. The cheap stuff is not the same. If you want consistent temp you have to get good charcoal.

This charcoal is the best -- have to make sure we never run out!!

Great charcoal! I was skeptical of the cost/value as I came from the traditional kettle scene. There is no doubt that KJ charcoal is a long-lasting and great tasting alternative. It's well worth the cost, and the complete burn makes clean up a breeze.
