The description of this item is flat-out false. The base is not made of marble but instead made of a cheap, hollow plastic material. There is also no mention of the usb charging port on the side opposite the plug. This lamp has no business being this expensive for what it is.

So disappointed. I loved the modern look of these lamps in the photos online and bought a pair for our guest bedroom. The first lamp that I opened had a slight defect in the gold. Looked like a stain but it didn’t wipe off. I figured I would still keep them until I opened the second one. The gold color is completely different and looks tarnished. When I turned the lamps on, one gave off a more warm/yellow hue, while the other gave off more of a white / cool hue. Definitely returning these and continuing the hunt for the perfect modern lamps.
