These pears never ripen. I’ve even tried putting them in a brown paper bag for a couple of days and they’re still hard as a rock. I purchased a couple different times thinking maybe it was a bad bunch but it keeps happening. Don’t waste your money!

Didn't ripen. Appeared ripe- neck gave to finger pressure. Yet skin was tough and inside was hard & dry. Waited longer and peel started to shrivel, yet still wasn't ripening. Peel was rubbery and hard and inside was hard and dry.

These pears are so hit or miss on if you’ll actually get fresh ones - beware because they can develop small spots of mold on them. I must’ve not noticed, because I got incredibly sick after eating one the other day. Needless to say, I’ve lost my appetite for these and can’t recommend them to anyone knowing they aren’t 100% safe.

Ok I love these pears. They are generally in good shape at my local Target. Occasionally I get a bruised one but usually they’re so firm it’s not a problem. I actually keep them in the fridge and they ripen at a good uneven rate so there’s always a perfect one ready to go. Cold and juicy!
