My kids love these! I keep them at kid height so they can be more independent about getting snacks. They hold up in the dishwasher.

These break easily when accidentally dropped I’d say these are better for older children rather than toddlers

Do your own research on the health consequences of melamine. This product should be nowhere near your food and especially your children's food.

These plates are melamine plastic (yes Target has added bamboo, but now it’s just a mix of plastic and bamboo). I would use caution serving food to a child on these plates.

Do not buy. I just found out they are toxic. After couple of years using them and thinking I am doing better than serving on plastic I was wrong. This is a hazard to the health of our kids. I am soooo sad and angry….trying to cook all the meals, buy organic and then fail on the plate the food is served on…why in USA they allow to sell those?

Dang bought these thinking they would be better than plastic.... I was wrong. Target neeeeds to hop on the stainless steel plates for kids!!

THESE ARE TOXIC! I’m so upset that my children have been using these. I didn’t look closely at the materials and just learned how toxic melamine is. Melamine is banned and is illegal in Europe and other places. Keep your children safe.

LOVE these melamine plates. The design is simple but cute and they’re easy to wash. Also can’t beat the price.

I bought these for my littles without looking closely at what they were made of. Melamine can be toxic, especially with acidic foods and if heated, including when put in the dishwasher or with hot food. Melamine is often mixed with bamboo as a binder. Formaldehyde is recognized as carcinogenic and is what leaches from melamine. Know what you are buying before you buy it.

Great little plate for my toddler! She uses this every night at dinner and we have had no issues with cracking or staining!

Research shows that even exposure to low doses of melamine has consequences to human health. Exposure to melamine can negatively impact brain development and even reproductive functions as melamine changes how hormones are supposed to work in the body. Can Target be more mindful of what they put on their shelves for children?

I really wanted to like these because their designs are soooo cute, but they’re in fact toxic. These plates are made from a thick plastic that release very harmful substances like formaldehyde and melamine. These substances are banned in Europe. The bamboo in the plate is just an addition to the plastic plates, this doesn’t mean it’s healthier. Should’ve done my reasearch before purchasing. I’m going to have to return these. Sadly.
