The gold is nice and has a little shimmer to it. The wings are sturdy so when my daughter wore them they stood up straight and did not sag. This was super cute and my daughter said very comfortable and not tight on her. The wings are held on by white elastic that has plenty of give. You can dress this up with a cute dress to be the best fairy around. I really liked the gold texture and my daughter liked the light weight of the wings on her back. They easily slip through the arms to hang over top of the shoulders like a backpack. They are lightweight and comfortable. Overall, the wings are made really really well and should last through all climates of weather , the straps that go through your arms are stretchy so it should fit a variety sizes of kids however the wings are a little small so I recommend toddlers to small children I received an incentive to write this review.
