Q: I am used to using box dye that comes in bottles, I've never used one that comes with a bowl and a brush. Being as this will be my first time; how easy would this be for me doing it myself?

A: Hi, thanks for the question. It’s far easier to use than a box dye :). The reason is that the application via the brush allows complete accuracy and no waste (I.e. no drips like bottled dye).

A: One box can be used on shoulder length hair. Cream bleach goes further than other bleaches. If you have very long or very thick hair we recommend two boxes

As with any home colour application, we would advise a patch and strand test is conducted before application to make sure you are happy with the colour, condition and achieve a desired result.

This is the nicest box bleach I have ever used. It lifted nicely and I love that it comes with 20 vol and not some unknown developer. My hair had been a red violet semi permanent color, but I went in a chlorinated pool and it turned my hair green red pink red purple… all the colors. I used this bleach followed by shimmer lights purple shampoo. I have to say I’m not mad about it especially for it being a box bleach? I think this is a 9/10.

I have brown hair and it isn't overly dark. I've used lots of different bleaches over the years and bought this to touch up my roots before coloring. This is by far the WORST bleach kit I've ever bought. Even after an hour against my scalp it barely lightened my roots. It also has so many packets of product to use after the bleaching process, which results in a lot of plastic waste. I also realized only after purchasing that there's nothing on the box to indicate if this is cruelty free. TL;DR go with Arctic Fox or Manic Panic bleach. I've never been more disappointed in a hair product than this in my life.

I’ve been slowly lightening my hair from dark brown for a few months and finally lost patience and bought 3 boxes of this. As a curly hair gal I was terrified of damaging my natural curl pattern. This worked wonders and lightened my hair beautifully! Will be purchasing this and only this in the future. I’d pay the $15 for the bond rebuilder alone. I’m no longer terrified of lightening my hair as long as I have this on hand!

I had high hopes for this bleaching kit when I pulled everything out of the box as it seemed this was like a salon quality product. However, it took an extraordinary long time for my roots to lift and even then, they weren't as light as Garnier's and L'Oreal's platinum bleach bottle kits can get them. I have naturally dark blonde hair so it shouldn't have had a problem lifting it to light yellow. I had to leave it on my roots for an hour and was afraid to leave it on any longer. I believe the reason for the poor lift is because the ratio of developer and cream bleach provided is off. The amount of developer should be double that of the bleach. This kit came with a big tube of cream bleach and once I squeezed all of into the mixing tray, I had to use a small whisk to break up the clumps and make it smooth. You also end up with a huge amount of product if you're just looking to touch up your roots. As others have noted, the brush they provide is super small and short, making it hard to hold and get enough product on your hair. Then there are all the additional packets they instruct you to use. The clarifying shampoo had the strongest perfumy smell I've ever experienced in a shampoo and it barely lathered. I don't see what the point of including a clarifying shampoo is. I didn't use any of the other products because I'm sure the scent would have knocked me over, too. I am returning to using Garnier's Ultra pure platinum PL1 followed by L'Oreal's Power Toner in Ice Blonde. I get the best shade of blonde with these two products and the Garnier lifts my hair to light yellow in about 35 to 40 minutes. I personally find the bottle formula much easier to apply than a brush.
Use only if you want soft hair after bleaching

I loved this product which I do recommend! It keeps your hair soft. After your “dye job,” hair feels soft and manageable. I was so impressed because it does exactly what it claims to do. I do advice to make sure you read ALL directions before use.

Nothing online indicating that this is not a bottle kit. The mixture is very thick and chunky and extremely difficult to apply with the miniscule applicator brush. I have posted before and after photos and didn't get anywhere near the lift that I should have with my base color. My friend who has done my hair many times at my instruction usually gets me perfect results with a Ferria bottle kit. Never buying this again.

My hair turned from light brown to an orange-ish color, not a result I am used too. I will give it the benifit of doubt, it may be because of the light golden brown old dye in my hair. I've used better and I've used worse hair bleachs.

I have dark blonde hair and wanted to achieve a more blonde look to my ends. I left this on for just over 30 minutes and it did the job perfectly, once toned it is such a good result. So easy to use as no powder and you even get a tint bowl and brush so doing my ends was so easy. Ideal.

I have dark blonde hair to the point that it looks like brown hair, and wanted to achieve a more blonde look to my ends of my hair well…I left this thing on for just over 30 minutes and it did absolutely nothing I have no idea how people are even bleaching there hair with this thing….waste of money

I used this product before and, believe it or not, I had liked it. However, this time around was VERY different. I no longer have hair. My hair was healthy and I followed the instructions to a T. I rinse and all my hair starts falling out. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!! Save the money and shave your head, you'll get the same results.
