A: Mine has been washed once and it didn't shed when brand new and it hasn't shed after either.

A: It's not a bright white. (It's not a yellow-y ivory either, but definitely more towards ivory than a true white.)

I love the color, heft texture and size of this throw. It’s warm enough for pretty cool nights but also not so heavy and warm that it can’t be used in the summer. It is a really good quality cotton and feels very natural which I love. I have three of them and am about to buy a couple more. Mine did shed and had to be washed and dried twice to get the fuzz out but after that - no shedding and I absolutely love them.

Beautiful shade of white! 'Sour cream'. Larger in size, yay. This throw does not shed at all, as so many others have reviewed. Do we all have the same blanket?? :) No shed at all with this one. I use it daily and had it for a month now. I hope to see more colors with this one!

The knotted fringe throw by Hearth and Hand (Magnolia) is a mid-weight throw that has some heft to it. The color is a beautiful, creamy white. I love the fringes that add just enought of an extra touch. The material is slightly bumpy which is a lovely visual texture to mix with other throws and blankets.

I bought three of these several years ago and use them year round -- some to protect upholstery from soil and pet fur, and another to cuddle with. They still look fresh! Easy to wash and dry, and I haven't experienced the lint issues on my furniture, even when putting it over navy "velvet". (Yes, the dryer lint screen gets full, but the device is doing its job! ) I'll see if new throws are different from the older ones.
