It actually does have an interesting taste. You get the same normal mac and cheese but with a bit of the ranch twang. While it isn't for everyone, and kids may be hit or miss with it like my own, it adds a different option to the menu.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a 4 pack of Kraft Ranch Mac and Cheese cups from Influenster in exchange for my review. As first, I was intrigued by the flavor combination. I have not seen mac and cheese in ranch flavor before. The portion size is a bit too small for an adult, and not quite filling enough for a meal. To me, this is most ideal as a snack for after school. According to the directions, it says to remove the lid and cheese packet, add water to the fill line, then to microwave for 3 1/2 minutes before adding in the powdered cheese. I tried to prepare all 4 cups in different ways because the noodles seem to break too easily, or it was too watery if I added boiling water instead of microwaving it. After a few attempts, I figured out the best method was to mix the powder cheese prior to heating up and if using hot water, to add less water to the fill line. If mixing the cheese after the noodles are cooked, then the noodles break easily and become mushy. Also, to not use boiling water as this also breaks down the noodles. As for the flavor, both my kids like it. I saw there was a boxed option in the same flavor, so I would rather try that instead. For one thing, it would be a bigger portion. And for another, it would probably be easier to prepare without turning into mush.
