Q: do you need buttermilk or can you use regular milk?

submitted by Linda - 2 months ago

  • A: We recommend using water with our Krusteaz Buttermilk Pancake Mix, but you can use either milk or buttermilk in place of the water. Please note that the pancakes may brown more, or be a little tougher due to the sugars in the milk.

Krusteaz Light & Fluffy Buttermilk

The Krusteaz Light & Fluffy Buttermilk pancake mix is very easy to prepare, since you just have to add water. The pancakes are soft, fluffy and with a delicious Buttermilk flavor, in addition to browning very well when cooked. The texture is light and combines perfectly with honey, butter, fresh fruits or maple syrup. The box yields a lot, so it is an excellent option to prepare family breakfasts. Without a doubt it is a practical mixture, of excellent flavor and quality.

Soooo Good!

I've recently tried the purple box of these pancakes and OMG amazing. Soo good. Texture is fantastic and they come out thick and fluffy. Binds well while mixing. Portions come out just right. There's a kind of almond taste if you notice it while eating but not much of an aftertaste.

Easy weekend breakfast

Pancakes are my family’s favourite weekend breakfast, so I’ve tried quite a few mixes over the years. This one was pleasant surprise. The pancakes came out soft, fluffy, and cooked evenly without much effort. I only had to add water, which made breakfast quick and stress-free. My kids cleaned their plates and immediately asked when I was making them again. Definitely a mix I’ll keep in the pantry.

Delicious!!

Let me talk about how Kristen’s made a loyal Ms. Butterworth girl switch up! This mix is perfect for fluffy pancakes and waffles. The prep is simple. The box calls for Water but I love using Oat milk. I love adding fruit, berries, or cinnamon in the batter. Half a box gives me enough pancakes to feed a family and half leftovers. I never experienced burning batter, I use a nonstick pan or some butter in a skillet at times for crispy edges.

Great!

Who doesn’t love pancakes? Fluffy and has great buttermilk flavor. I put bacon or sausage in the pancake mix and cook them like that and it is so good that way as well!

I love preparing my pancakes with this flour

I love preparing my pancakes with this flour since I have them ready in just a few minutes, in addition to the fact that they have a delicious butter flavor and yield even several times in my breakfast, in addition to the fact that they leave a golden, soft and fluffy finish and have a long shelf life to prepare your pancakes whenever you want
