Q: Does this require adding eggs or can you get away with just adding water? My kid has an egg allergy so wondering if there are any recommended substitutes.

  • A: We use chickpea water in place of eggs in any recipe and you'd never know. 3 Tablespoons of chickpea water from a can is = 1 large egg. Typical can of Chickpeas yields a little more than 3 eggs worth

Q: The box doesn't say "contains milk" yet the reviews say it now contains milk. Which is correct?

  • A: In the fall of 2020, we started producing the 96oz Club Bisquick (16000-43059) product at an alternate production location to support increased product demand. This resulted in a change of allergens for the 96oz Club Bisquick. However, the 40oz box did not go through any changes in the potential allergens. Since ingredients can sometimes change, we recommend referring directly to the packaging for the most accurate information.

Would give 0 stars if I could

For over a year now I have been trying to figure out why my sausage balls are disgusting. I tried different sausages never suspecting that the bisquik ingredients had changed. Whatever the new ingredients are make them taste so sweet. Might be good for pancakes if I ate them, but definitely not what I’ll be buying for sausage balls from now on. Bummer.

Ruined the “Original Bisquick”

Bought my first box of Bisquick ina while and found that you have ruined a classic favorite foundation for biscuits and pancakes by changing the recipe. The recipes now require oil to be added, which was not the case previously. Does not taste the same nor have the same texture after baking. Return to the real “original” recipe of the Bisquick of my childhood.

The new bisquick formulation yields terrible results. It is a specific product usually used for holiday/ specialty baking- and it was reliable, with great texture and taste bugs new stuff is awful. I’m never buying it again. Ruined my holiday sausage swirls, and niw ruts nig even convenient- it’s ba sad call sr flour- you must add the fat. Not tasty, not complete, poor texture; what’s to like?

Bisquick is not good anymore

I've enjoyed baking with Bisquick all my life and that's over 50 years. My favorite is the pancakes. Two times ago I made them and they were dry and flat, horrible. I thought maybe the mix was old so I bought a fresh box. The next batch turned out the exact same way. The pancakes are not even edible. Not only did I throw the pancakes away but I threw the whole box of Bisquick away. I will no longer be buying or using Bisquick anymore.

Christmas waffles

I like making Bisquick Christmas waffles with my dad. My whole family ate it and loved it! While my dad was eating my waffles, I thought of a new ad line for you: "Bisquick doesn't waste your time". I'm only 8 years old, but I thought this was true.

They changed it and don't care

I don't know what's worse: changing the recipe, or ignoring the overwhelming negative customer feedback that want you to go back to the old recipe. Since you don't seem to care if customers enjoy your products anymore, I'll stop buying them.

Faithful customer no longer!

Why would you change a product beloved by generations? My guess is profits outweigh quality and customer satisfaction. The new Bisquick has ruined favorite family recipes. Disappointed and dismayed!

Something is “off” with Bisquick. I remade my Bisquick biscuits twice after the first batch was not coming out the same. I’ve been making biscuits, pancakes and the cinnamon coffee cake with Bisquick for years and something is definitely off. I threw away the box and will no longer purchase Bisquick.

It's not original any more.

It is awful! What did you do to it? Pancakes are thin and no taste. Waffles are thin and dry. No flavor!!

Bring back old Bisquick recipe

You took a perfectly good product and you changed it for the worst. Please bring back the original formula, as the new one does not taste anywhere near as good as the old one. I’ll never buy another box of Bisquick until you return to the old formula. Many other people I’ve spoken to feel the same way. Until then we will make it from scratch.

WHAT HAPPENED TO BISQUICK???

Bisquick has been a staple in our house forever. Was raised on Bisquick pancakes. And everything else cake-like, i.e. biscuits, dessert cakes and coblers, pancakes, pancakes and waffles. Unfortunately ALL GOOD things come to an end. The original recipe (we know and LOVE) has been changed, so if you get the original thinking it is what you are used to, you will be GREATLY DISSAPPOINTED. Tried the newer heart friendly version and threw it out. Terrible consistency and flavor. I am looking for someone to create a copycat version of the old original version and post it to the internet. I have bought my last Bisquick. Good - bye old friend. SO SAD

Terrible change

The new formula makes the worst dumplings ever; adding the oil doesn’t help. Light and fluffy to dense and tasteless. You lost a long-time customer Bisquick☹️

Oil in the pancake recipe

I bought the box for first time in awhile and it never had oil in the recipe and they were the Best ever pancakes and I always added sugar and vanilla but when I followed the new recipe with oil everyone freaked out said they were not fluffy and tasted dense so then I made it with out the oils and so much better Please don’t change something when its delicious , I use to work for a well known cookie factory and they started Changing the recipe and the flavor was Never ever the same now it’s not being sold any more sorry but we love Bisquick especially the pancakes recipe but I will not be putting oil in Tracy From Iowa

New version of bisquick

Please bring the previous version of bisquick. Biscuits are now dry and don't taste well. I've had to switch to another brand.
