All my daughter was excited for was for the tail to change colors. I’m not sure if ours is defective, but i put the tail into cold water like it said, and it did absolutely nothing.

The color changing tail is honestly one of the coolest features it adds a magical touch every time my little one plays with it. The accessories and the mermaid outfit are super detailed, and I love how bright and fun the colors are. My child really enjoys the surprise element, and it keeps her engaged for a long time.
You can wash the gel out of the hair!

Really cute doll with a color changing fin (not removable). Half her hair was gelled which means you couldn't brush it. We ran the hair through hot water first, then washed with shampoo, then with conditioner. Towel dried and poof! Beautiful brush-able hair! Would give it 5 stars if there was no gel and the fin was removable.

However, they both really like it! The dolls are very sturdy and have great detail! My daughters love them and always carry them around with them. They fight over it a lot but they really like it! Some of her hair was coated in hairspray like stuff and was super stiff and crunchy. I tried to wash it three times. Hopefully it comes out as soft as the rest of her hair. It was so crunchy and it looks like she was boxed wet because some of the coloration from the box adhered to the crunchiness of the hair. It's a cute doll, but very frustrating that her hair is so yucky. Also, I thought it was weird that she has holes for earrings but no earrings came included. My daughter will have fun with it regardless. Just frustrating points about the doll.

There are holes so that water can escape and not cause mold. Perfect for bath time or even to play in the pool!
