L Shaped Computer Writing Desk Gray - Inval

The desk is nice but the pieces weren’t all drilled properly for installation. It works for my purposes but there was definitely frustration during building when not all holes were present or in the proper locations and made us seriously question our ability to read directions. But…it wasn’t us and was in fact the product. For the price, I would have expected a little better.

Hello, manufacturing engineer here. Only relevant as I create process sheets as part of my job to help people build products. It took me approx 4 hours to assemble by myself following the directions included. There were some pictures that did not show the lettered part and also did not clarify the direction the drawer cover would be toward (the inside portion sticks out more which is important to know). I big problem I had was the dowels and anchor studs that you tighten with a screw driver were instructed to be installed on the end they are anchored to, this caused lots of problems when lining the boards up with the insertion points. The filing drawer was slightly out of size and two pieces of the assembly only had marks for where the screws were to be screwed into rather than 90% of the build having pre drilled holes. I read some other reviews before purchasing and NO you do not need glue to assemble this and YES it is rigid enough to hold together with proper assembly. The keyboard tray is wobbly, but honestly there has not been a single time I have seen a keyboard tray that is not a little loose, unless you engineer it better and increase the price or void out the tray all together. The sliding door should also have a metal strip inside of the track, the wood scraping sound is a little off putting. Overall I'm very satisfied with the desk, I do not have files to store in the larger drawer so I cannot speak on that front. There are a few minor problems and more a communication problem with the instructions. CLARIFY and double check the pictures, one showed the screw in different locations which can be confusing.
