I have used this sunscreen for about a year now and I love it. I feel the difference in my skin when I wear this in the sun. My face feels noticeably cooler and less flushed. I also have not developed any new or darkening of my hyperpigmentation spots while wearing this as well. Even though this does have a white cast and is pretty thick, the protection is amazing. This may not be the best product if you are looking for a daily sunscreen to wear to work and you do not have underlying skin sensitivities or rosacea. This is a wonderful sunscreen for the working out outdoors, yard work, or beach or travel days with lots of sun exposure. If you have sensitive rosacea prone skin I would still give this a try for daily sunscreen use. This is more cosmetically elegant than the Vanicream sport sunscreen and is seriously sweat resistant. I still wear this to work during the peak of summer. I would be careful when applying sunscreen powder over this. It tends to form an impenetrable paste that requires an oil cleanser to remove.

My mom got a severe allergic reaction on her face. The facial redness was also hot, firm, and included parts of the face that did not have lotion, like the eyelids. The rash stopped after she stopped using the lotion. I didn’t believe it at first but we tried both the mineral and non mineral formulation. The rash came back the min she put on the mineral one.

I didn't notice I bought the Mineral and not my regular SPF60. I was in Greece, put it on and i was white as a ghost and it took forever to get off (thick, thick cream). After that one partial application I threw it out. Wish I returned it but didn't want to carry around in EU.then to USA.

So thick! I’m sure it protects your skin incredibly well from the sun, but it is really hard to spread and distribute and the white cast is certainly there. If that sort of thing doesn’t matter to you, I think someone could enjoy this sunscreen, just knowing that it’s really protecting you from the sun.

The packaging is sturdy. There isn’t really a big scent which I’m happy since I don’t like the smell of sunscreen. It’s pretty effective, and the texture is slightly liquid but it’s not too bad.

I love the Anthelios SPF 50 tinted mineral (face) and the mineral zinc oxide (on my ears, neck, chest, and hands) sunscreens. Been using them for decades after a dermatologist recommendation. Thought I would give this one a try. It left a white cast and left white on the necklines of my tops. I thought I could "suck it up" and use it up because it is pricey. Gave up and tossed it.

It says it wont leave a white cast but it does on me, its soft and glides real nice on my skin at first ( leaving my face white ) and while i try to smooth it out, it starts peeling off.. but its only sometimes. When it does go smooth on my face!!

We are sorry to hear you are having a hard time getting the product to absorb into the skin. We recommend allowing the first product you apply in your skincare routine to fully dry and absorb into skin until it feels dry to the touch before layering on the next product. In addition, try applying a small amount in the palm of your hands and rubbing them together. Then, apply to one small area at a time, rubbing well. The formula should apply easily leaving a lightweight, non-greasy feel. We hope these tips are helpful and you give it another try!

These reviews shock me because the white cast is SO BAD. I am used to being heavy handed with sunscreen but you cannot do it with this one otherwise the white cast looks very bad. I've tried using a little to apply and it's a little better but not much. And it makes my routine take so much longer when applying little by little. It might fade a little bit after a while but I still notice. Even if you use on the body I don't like it.. there arw better mineral sunscreens out there!! It's funny that the back says "powdery finish.".. not what i want. Would not buy again and disappointed in the product.

Mineral sunscreens can sometimes be a bit trickier to apply than chemical ones due to their thicker consistency, and we recognize that the white cast can be an issue. This happens because mineral sunscreens, like ours, use titanium dioxide and/or zinc oxide. These minerals create a protective barrier on the skin's surface that reflects UV rays, and that's what sometimes causes a whitish tint. For a smoother application, try putting a small amount in your palms and rubbing them together first. Then, apply to your face section by section, rubbing it in well. This technique should help the lotion go on more easily and leave a lighter, less greasy feel. As with all sunscreens, be sure to apply liberally for optimal protection.

I like this mineral sunscreen. The texture guaranties a smooth application. And no ghostly white skin! I gave it 4 stars because it is unnecessarily overpriced. Not a good selling point, L'Oreal.

This is the worst sunscreen I’ve ever used. I get that it’s great for sun protection, but no matter what I’ve done or how hard I’ve tried, I cannot rub this stuff into my skin. It stays white. There’s much better sunscreens out there. I usually love La Roche Posay, but this is a total fail.

I am buying this product every summer and will repeat it over again. It has a white colour but it disappears with a time. Sometimes I even mix it with a tone if I want a lighter texture I recommend it and you will love it flavour and efficiency. 😎
