En el otro Madrid, el de los cafés de tertulia y los escaparates de la calle Serrano, Julita empieza estudiar letras en la universidad y siente la necesidad de separarse del futuro que su familia siempre había prefijado para ella.

El minuto que tardan dos trenes en chocar
Unidos por la fuerza del destino, los dos jóvenes coincidirán en un largo viaje en el expreso desde Madrid hasta La Coruña, huyendo de lo que otros han planeado para ellos. Allí se conocerán y verán nacer su complicidad, sin saber que el tren está abocado a una catástrofe que cambiará sus vidas para siempre.

La vida en un minuto rescata un episodio tristemente desconocido de la posguerra, la tragedia de un choque ferroviario que se saldó con cientos de víctimas y que fue silenciado por la prensa del régimen franquista. In the winter of 1943, the remains of war still weigh over Madrid. In the suburbs, Daniel hides his identity and, with it, the role he played in the recent conflict. In the other Madrid, the one with the cafés and shops on Calle Serrano, Julita studies literature and feels the need to flee from the future that her family chose for her.

The minute two trains collide
Bonded by fate, Daniel and Julita coincide in a long train trip from Madrid to La Coruña, escaping from what others have decided for them. They soon ally, not knowing that the train is rushing into a catastrophe that will change their lives forever.

The minute two persons exchange glances
Life in a Minute tells a sadly unknown post-war episode: a railway crash that left hundreds of victims, and which was ignored by the press during Franco's dictatorship. The story proves that love and life can sometimes be born out of rubble.

José Antonio Lucero (Rota, 1988) es profesor de Ciencias Sociales y Lengua y Literatura en Educación Secundaria. Licenciado en Historia y Máster en Escritura por la Universidad de Sevilla, colabora con varios medios digitales como blogger y youtuber desde su canal La cuna de Halicarnaso, uno de los canales sobre historia y docencia de habla hispana más seguidos en todo el mundo. En 2018 fue finalista del XXIII Premio de Novela Ateneo Joven de Sevilla. La vida en un minuto supone su debut literario.
