Lands' End Squall Packable Waterproof Raincoat - Small - Sapphire

This is a beautiful, lightweight rain coat. I love the color (peach sorbet)! I haven't tried it in a heavy rain yet but it did beautifully in a light rain and I'm sure it will be fabulous in a heavier rain as well as I've had nothing but good experiences with my previous raincoats from Land's End. The fit is great (runs a little large maybe? but that works well if a sweatshirt is needed) and I'm more comfortable in loose fitting clothing. I travel alot and this packs nicely so I can keep it in my car to make sure I always have it handy. No need to worry about forgetting to pack a rain coat! My favorite part of this raincoat though is that it has SNAPS instead of velcro closures. I don't have to worry about the velcro snagging on clothes or other materials AND I don't have to clean the dog hair out of the velcro constantly!

Love the color, and the lightweight of this waterproof jacket. I have not tested it in the rain yet, but I’m hopeful it lives up to the description.

I've had this about a month and love it. Was surprised and happy that all the packing wrinkles came out with just 10 minutes in warm dryer.

I returned this raincoat because I do not like the color. You should offer it in goldenrod or canary yellow for visibility.

I haven't worn it yet in the rain so can't comment on waterproofing. Nice colour. Generally substantial piece of clothing. Sleeves too short and I'm quite petite.

This rain jacket is very chic and stylish! It fits well and the fabric is lightweight , so it isn't heavy on my body. I like that it has snaps as well as a zipper. The hood will be great when there are rainy days and I can't use an umbrella. I bought a small, (size 4-6), and I usually wear an 8 in clothes, but this fit me perfectly. I am very happy with this purchase.

Great fabric, weight, feel, and packability. Runs very large; the large fits like an XL or maybe an XXL. Would have given five stars otherwise; quality is amazing.

Purchased for upcoming trip to Europe. Soft material, excellent quality. I always can count on Lands End for the best coats around. Love the color. I'm 5'-5, 142 lbs., size medium is perfect and there is room for a sweatshirt and vest underneath. Perfect.

Lovely waterproof jacket... like that it has stud fastening aswell as a zip as this makes it easier to pop on quickly.

This jacket is beautiful and fits nicely. I almost order a large, but I got the medium and it fits very well. I'm 5.2 145lbs. The only reason I did not give it a higher rating was that I had to wait a month to get it. I was not told it was on back order until after I purchased this item, so a bit disappointed about that issue. Otherwise the coat itself is fantastic!

I bought this jacket in Red for a trip. It is beautiful and definitely kept me dry. I love that it folds down into one of the pockets! I also love that you can make the waist tighter, so it gives you some shape!

I bought this before a trip to Scotland and was waterproof and helped with wind. Nice style and well made. Did not come with travel pack.

I love this fit and does well in light mist but every time I am caught in rain I get soaked! I bought it for a NZ trip and hiking and am so very disappointed that it was sold as a rain jacket and yet it is not!!! Now I have to save to buy a real jacket! Come on LE do better!!

I bought this a month ago and like it very much. It protects me well in the rain and is good quality, plus I love the color !

Light but not flimsy, packable but good windbreaker fabric, fits well, nice clear blue

I bought this for a trip to Ireland. I’m 5’3”,160 pounds, and usually wear a large or extra large as I’m top heavy. I bought this in a large and was concerned about layering but it worked out just fine. What I liked: Good quality material. I’ll have this jacket for years to come. Definitely waterproof. It rained the first few days into my trip and the jacket kept me dry. Being able to fold it into a pocket size was very convenient. I brought a tote bag everywhere and the jacket and a travel size umbrella were lightweight enough that I could easily carry them. What I didn’t care for: The waist cinched above my natural waist. Being short, this tends to happen. It’s not as flattering as I’d like but not a deal breaker. When you cinch the waist, the “loops” stick out of the coat if it’s not zipped. I couldn’t find a way to tuck them out of sight. The jacket is windproof to a point. If you’re wearing a layer or two underneath it works great. Without layers it was chilly in the wind. Overall I would buy this jacket again. I got it on sale and consider it a good value at that price.

So far this jacket is working keeping out the rain and wind. Have not hiked using it but used it on a rainy windy day walking through town. So far I am satisfied.
