Q: Hi. I'm going to use them on the long flight (in boxes) I'm worried the the plastic valve could come loose with the air pressure and deflate. Can you please help me thanks

  • A: Hi, I used these on an international trip in 2023. I packed a puffy knee length winter jacket and puffy outer vest in the large bag. It did not come loose at all. When I opened the bags at my destination, the clothes still retained the fresh laundry smell. I think these bags remain airtight. Follow the directions on how to roll them up and seal them.

Really useful to have on a trip! Unfortunately, one of the bags would not stay compressed but it really helped me bring my own pillow and blanket and have room left in a single suitcase!

Falsely advertised

Not a vacuum seal bag. Written in the description maybe- but I've been storing clothes and purchasing vacuum seal bags all week, when making this last target order- this was right up there next to my suggested purchases so I just assumed they were vacuum bags, especially with compression being in bold words. Nope- and they don't even compress good! Not worth $20.

NOT a vacuum seal bag

Just FYI these are not vacuum bags like the ziplock version. These do not have a gasket for a vacuum. They are meant to be rolled to remove air, and in my opinion do not work anywhere close to as well as a true vacuum bag.

Essential for Travel!

Five stars for travel! Freed up space in my luggage and kept everything organized and dry. Best if you lay things flat inside each bag (don’t roll clothes up or layer a ton in the middle of the bag), then seal and roll all the air out of the bag. Then you can reshape the vacuum sealed bag so it’s flat. Reusable for future trips! Magical!

Doesnt stay flat for long

Does not stay compressed long. I packed these the night before my flight and wanted to add a sweater the next morning and they had inflated. I thought they would stay flat for more than 8 hours or so but I guess not.

Bummer

They’re…bags. Be advised - these are NOT vacuum seal bags. These are essentially large ziploc bags. The air comes out if you push it out. There is no valve to prevent air from coming back in. There is no way to easily vacuum the air out with an actual vacuum. You could get the same effect with a large heavy duty ziploc bag. If you’re desperate these might work, but they are not great.

Storage Bags

I was pleasantly surprised how well these worked. Put your clothes in, and then press out all of the air and it stayed completely air free, just like the vacuum method. No need for pumps or vacuum. I highly recommend.

Great for travel and home

First bought these for a long trip a few years ago. After returning home, I discovered how useful they were for storing sheet sets, towels and blankets for in the car, and many other uses. Having to buy more (again) because I have once again used all the ones on hand. These are super easy to use.

Nice storage bags

These are great! Perfect for storing baby clothes as my babe grows into and out of them. Yes, they are not vacuum sealed bags. Idk why the description says that. They are compression bags. But they hold the seal well and feel sturdy.

Best Travel Bags!

I don’t really write reviews, but since the reviews for this product are so skewed, let me set the record. These bags are fantastic. I think the reviewers may have never used travel bags like these before and therefore do not understand how they work. Most bags like these have removable ‘zippers’ that cinch the bag shut. These, are attached to the bag and make it so much easier to close! I just returned from a trip to Europe with these and they worked fantastic. The bags are thick, perfect for a carry on suitcase, and never leaked once. They are a bit on the pricier side, but the value is there. Highly recommend!
