A: Yes it's cast iron and it says it's food safe. You absolutely can serve food and beverage out of this.

A: I bought this a few days ago, and the tag says it's food safe, but I don't think it can be used for cooking, just serving.
submitted byLeona G - 3 months agoA: It is made of metal but it's quite thin and I doubt it's food safe. I wouldn't risk it. If you're looking for actual cookware try the 4QT Smith and Clark cast iron cauldron intended for cooking.

Greqt idea, poor quality!! Would not recommend.
Cauldron has three little legs. The first cauldron I received on the mail came damaged. Two feet fell off during shipment. I returned to the store and got a new one. I set it up on my covered porch with a potted mum in it. After I week I picked the cauldron up to move it and one of the legs popped off. I tried to fix it, but this is made of metal so you can’t really glue it. Exchanged for another one at the store, but to my dismay, a leg dropped off that one too. I’m just going to return it. Not worth the high price tag. Nice idea, but needs to be better quality. $$$$. Target is getting really bad.

Shipping Disaster
I was SO excited to place this order since I missed out on it years before, but it was shipped so horribly that I have to make a return. The box arrived with holes in it, the packing tape barely kept the box sealed and to top it off, there was no packing foam or interior support. One of the leg snapped off in transit and it was scuffed up due to poor packaging.

Great look, but be gentle with it.
Great looking decoration for Halloween! Excited to put this by the fireplace with lights inside. I will say that it is not very sturdy and you should not put heavy items or any other use besides sitting as decoration. It scratches easily because of the material it’s made of and the handle will slam down and damage the paint. Another suggestion would be to try to find this in the store. It was delivered in bubble wrap, but still arrived damaged- the legs were pressed in to the cauldron. I still think this is a great decoration and suggest you add it to your home decors, just be gentle with it.

This cauldron is large and very nice.It is a metal like material. It is very sturdy.It would be great for several uses.Either decor put candy to put on your porch for greeters. You could dress it up.N.I'm decorate it and add it to decor pieces. The handle does move. Very good quality.

Cauldron
Really nice and heavy and know I will have this for years to come. I haven’t decided what I want to do with it this year. I’ve seen so many cute projects with clear ornaments to look like bubbles, I’ve also seen diffusers put in to make it look like smoke! I think I might put mums for this year
