First, please power off and unplug the unit for approximately 15-minutes. Please also try plugging into a different plug in a different room after allowing the item to sit unplugged for the recommended 15-minutes. If you have a can of compressed air, that can be used as well in combination with the vacuum. Remember to never open the unit as this poses a safety concern and can void your warranty. A: The humming is unbearable. When purchasing a new fan, we shouldn't need to take all the steps to "clean" it or let it sit. It's brand new. Awful fan.
