Detailed application and removal instructions.
Follow these simple instructions for the perfect manicure:
1. File the edge and surface of your nails.
2. Apply a VERY thin (barely there) layer of gel polish. Cure the nail immediately for 30 seconds. If your nail is still sticky, cure for an additional 15-30 seconds.
3. Apply a second layer of gel polish and cure again.
4. For full, opaque coverage, apply a third coat as thick as the second coat.
5. Voila! Your manicure is complete!
For an easy removal:
Step 1: Use a nail file to gently remove the shine from the top layer of your gel nails.
Step 2: Open the remover pad and insert your finger, making sure that the cotton pad is on top of the nail.
Step 3: Wrap the packet around your finger, removing the sticker and sealing the packet to ensure an air-tight fit. Repeat this process for all your nails. Wait 15 minutes.
Step 4: Remove the packet and the gel polish will have a shattered effect. Use the cuticle stick to scrape off the remaining gel polish.
Step 5: Use the nail file to buff away any remaining bits of polish. Wash your hands and use hand cream to moisturize.

A: this doesn't come with a top coat, you'll have to purchase it separately. i would reccommend the top coat! it makes the polish last a lot longer and more shiny.
submitted bypdaws - 1 year agoA: this is a 3 in 1 type polish so it serves as a base/polish/top coat. you don't need a topcoat...I saw reviews that the topcoat (bought separately) makes your polish very shiny and lasts longer.

A: Hello, thanks for reaching out! Le Mini Macaron's gel polishes do not contain methacrylate in it. The ingredients are: Acrylates Copolymer, Pentaerythritol Tetraacrylate, 2-Isopropylthioxanthone, Trimethylbenzoyl Diphenylphosphine Oxide. Let us know if you have any other questions.

Q: Hi, Can you also use a normal nail polish? For example from H&M, OPI, primark etc? Or do you have to use the mini gel nail polish from this brand so you can use the LED light?

A: Hi Kath, thanks for getting in touch! Regular nail polish doesn't need to be "dried/cured" under an LED light, it needs to be "air-dried". Le Mini Macaron’s gel polish (included in the kit) is a 3-in-1 formula that combines base coat, color and top coat all in 1 bottle and does need to be dried with an LED light. Our macaron-shaped lamp can also be used with other gel polish brands, just not with normal nail polish.

A: Hello Nessa, Gel Polish is different from regular nail polish in that you need to “soak” it off. To remove your gel polish manicure you’ll need an acetone based nail polish remover, however, Le Mini Macaron does sell remover pads pre-soaked with acetone based remover which are very easy to use. The remover kit is available at Target for $12.50!

I was excited to try gel at home, but this did not last. I felt like my at home manicures done with regular polish last longer than this manicure did. I did try it quite a few times. It’s great when you need a super quick manicure on the go that only needs to last for a day or event, but for everyday wear I do NOT recommend. However, I do like that the lamp is just a single finger. It works great for curing regular gel polish bought at a beauty supply store.

The whole process was simple and I got my entire mani done in under 20 minutes! I am really hard on my nails, I'm a mom so I am constantly washing my hands and cleaning - my mani lasted about 5 days before I needed to touch it up. Licorice is such a pretty black, I really like that it is shiny without being overly shiny, and it was perfect for the fall! I was really impressed with how nice my nails looked from an at-home gel manicure, my husband thought I had gone to the salon!

Bought this as a way to do a gel manicure at home but was pretty disappointed. It does initially cure like regular gel polish but it goes on blotchy then within days begins to chip and peel off like regular polish. I tried different colors from the brand, I tried adding a their top coat (does not come with the kit, you have to buy separate) but all same results. Not to mention it’s time consuming to have to cure each nail individually..

I accidentally bought the nail polish for this lamp not realizing I needed the lamp for it to work so I bought the light so not to waste the nail polish I had already opened and attempted to use. I really wanted this to work but it just doesn’t last. I follow all the steps with buffing my nail first, pushing back cuticles, wiping off nails with the wipes provided, and capping the tips but it doesn’t matter. They still peel off within 24 hours. At first I thought it was because I take long hot showers and use a lot of chemical exfoliants but this last time I did my nails they weren’t exposed to any of those things and one still peeled off a few hours after I painted them. I also tried going their website to see if there’s anything I’m doing wrong and their instructions were not very helpful.

Though the kit is super cute it was disappointing. The color requires at least 3 coats for full coverage, otherwise it’s a patchy. After application I was happy with the overall result for a home mani but it chipped off just as easily as a regular polish. For the price I was expecting more.

The lamp works great! I love how little it is for easy storage. Their nail polish is awful though. I tried multiple times and it would chip and peel within 1-3 days. I even tried with different base coats and top coats. I now use this lamp with other brands of gel polish and they last 2+weeks.

Mine lasted soooo long, everyone saying they didn’t it’s probably because they didn’t cure them 6 times like I did, obviously it’s going to take longer but time is value. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because the polish bottle is weirdly made which makes the polish drip whenever you try to wipe the excess off, it’s really weird and messy. But I’m just gonna work with it anyways. Please fix that though it’s messy.
