Q: Which color is a good sheer pink for a french manicure?

A: I don't have a recommendation for the gel line, but Mademoiselle in the regular Essie line is my all-time favorite for a French manicure. Ballet Slippers is another good one.

A: Hi there Andrea! Unlike salon gel nailcolors, the Gel Couture does not require the use of a UV lamp and is easily removed with your regular polish remover.

A: Hi there! The Gel Couture nail colors are a longwear nail enamel. They take slightly longer to dry than a classic nail color. A classic takes about 2 minutes per layer to dry, the Gel Couture takes about 5 minutes per layer to dry. Once you have your layers on, it takes about 15 minutes to dry, but you always want to refrain from busy nails for the first hour or so after your mani.

A: Hi there Deirdre! The Gel Couture nail colors come in a wide range of colors and finishes. Online it can be harder to know what you’re seeing so scroll down and read the “HIGHLIGHTS” to learn if the color is opaque, sheer, shimmer, etc. And yes, the Wearing Hue is a creamy delicate white with a slight blush of champagne and shimmer.

A: Hi Amanda! Don't use a UV lamp with the Gel Couture nail colors and Top Coat This formula is made for easy home use. No base coat is used. Apply 2 coats of color to bare nails, finish with the top coat and let your nails dry like a normal nail enamel. Remove with your regular polish remover.

Matter of Fiction- Went on so streaky!! The first coat was dripping everywhere so I started over with a smaller amount and it seemed no matter what I did you could see through the color. I did 3 coats and then it was just getting gross so I stopped And did the top coat. Worst at home pedi ever 😅

Coming from the brand that is so popular, I was disappointed by the color pay off. Mainly EG and FV. These two colors were just drab. Even with a high quality base and top coat the colors were simply boring. They both need a tint or shade of another color added, to give the pop or wow factor that both these colors need. On the other hand First Fitting is a pure white that looks sharp bright and nice. Two coats and you’re good to go. I feel that the formula itself could be improved, but I can’t put my finger on what.

This has to be the worst nail polish I’ve ever purchased. I always buy gel, this one peels off on its own right away, I bought this for my vacation and didn’t bring it along since I’ve never had to touch up so soon. I was wrong, by the time I got there the next morning all my nails were peeling, 2 days through basically all of the color had peeled up so I just tore it off. It only stayed on 2 toes but they were chipped from the top edges. I looked rough and since it’s a pretty bright color you can see in photos that only my big toes had color it looked so bad. Never buying again and I hope I can save someone who’s going on vacation like me with this review.

One coat offers nice coverage but after a second the color is so bold. I’ve noticed that with this line my nail color lasts for close to two weeks without chipping! Love this line! I took a color and the top coat to my regular nail salon to have them use on my manicure. This was last Monday. Today is Wednesday and there’s not a chip or peel or anything. I’m sold and will be building my collection. Although I’d love it if the salon would just buy all the colors. I do think this would hurt their gel mani sales. I love that regular polish remover will take off the color.
