Q: Am I to use a base coat w/ OPI Strong Nail Polish? Instructions on the bottle read to apply two lays of polish to bare nails, yet I see that there is a base coat also sold in this formula.

A: Hi there! The base coat is NOT required but can be used before application of this polish. It is completely up to you! If you have textured nails a base coat can help. Thank you for your interest.

I got this for an event and wore it Saturday to Wednesday. Not only is it miserable to remove, but the gold stains your nails. I now have yellow splotches on my nails from a polish I wore for less than a week WITH a base coat.

All Heal Queen Mother Earth chipped severely after two days. Here are my nails after a few days with 2-3 coats of paint, depending on the nail, and the same top coat I use and get at least a week out of without significant chips.
