This is a great conecept that turned out to be a disaster. They have you microwave the quesadilla on top of the box. When I did that, the generous toppings made the tortilla soggy and it stuck to the box. Basically the whole thing fell apart. I tried scraping iut up with a large spatula and toasting it in my toaster oven to make the tortilla stiffer. That didn't help much. I never got to the stage where you are supposed to fold the quesadilla over. I ate it as a mushy tostada.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s a bit spicy but surprisingly tasty quick breakfast option. The beans, beef, tortilla and cheese filling are satisfying. It’s a great way to start the day with a flavorful, lighter meal—especially when you’re short on time.

Not my favorite, and wasn’t really able to eat it like a quesadilla.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product had a good portion size, there was a lot of filling. It also had a good variety of ingredients in the filling. Easy to cook, the instructions were easy to follow and it had a good flavor. Didn't have the traditional crispness of a quesadilla but tossing it in the air fryer for a couple of minutes would have done the trick.

Just tried it for lunch today and it's tiny, way to small for lunch, not filling at all.

If you're tracking macros, the Mexican-style beef & cheddar Quesadilla has 16P, 9F, and 28C. Taste-wise, it was alright. It's frozen like a pizza, and when it's been heated, you fold it into the quesadilla, which was a big mess. The outer edges of the tortilla were really hard and crispy, and the center of it was soft and sticking to surfaces. For a quick meal, it wasn't bad, but a quesadilla just wasn't meant to be frozen.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as an incentive for my honest review. This Mexican pizza from jean cuisine is pretty tasty. It has good flavor. It’s a decent size. Probably equivalent to a regular pizza slice. So depending on how hungry you are, you made need more than one. It has a bit of spice/ heat to it. I am not really a fan of heat/ spicy foods so if you are similar then it’s worth noting. I love that it contains meat, but I would love it more if there was more on it. I don’t love that it contains bha and bht though. Inside the box there is a crisper lining. My pizza was a bit thawed before coming home so it stuck to the crisper a bit, which is my error. But from past experience these things don’t always work as intended. I think overall it’s worth getting or trying. And a good option to have on hand.

It does not crisp up at all or fold easily. It has a great flavor and is good eating with a fork. Add sour cream and cilantro if you have it. Yum.

Lean Cuisine just automatically reminds me of the early 90s microwave TV dinners. High in sodium, unhealthy and tastes like rubber and the freezer. I didn't expect too much going into this one. The packaging itself was super flimsy. The aesthetic of it was ok and bright and eye-catching. The information clear and great advertising. But it just feels so cheap in the hands. Cooking instructions simple and easy. It's quick and convenient. However, with all meals like these, very easy to ruin if following directions but the appliance you use is different than others (typically temp differences). Mine ended up being just slightly overcooked. The mexican-style flavor was standard. It has pieces of ground beef, cheddar cheese, black beans, poblano peppers, tomatoes, green onions, and a southwest-style sauce. The beans and veggies took over most of the flavor profile. Wish there were more beef and cheese. Nutrition-wise, only 240 calories with 16g of protein. Not bad at all. I love how this has an extra protein kick. Honestly, I feel like they could have added more ingredients to bump that up even more. The end product doesn't look exactly like the pictures, but it's pretty similar. Portion size is a little bit small. I could easily eat two of these in one sitting. Makes a good snack but not a dinner. Maybe a quick lunch. It's affordable albeit a little more expensive then other options. Overall, I may purchase as a treat in the future. Possibly saved for after workout snacks.
