Learning Resources Jumbo Zoo Animals I Monkey, Penguin, Zebra, Polar Bear, and Hippo, 5 Animals

We have had this set-along with the jumbo jungle animals- for years and they have been a staple in my children's play from 1 to 5 (and counting). I purchased again for a gift for my nephew. Amazing quality that has yet to wear down. Love the size, great for all sorts of activities.

I bought this set of Jumbo Zoo animals because my two year old LOVED his Jumbo Jungle animals from Learning Resources. They must have a new manufacturing crew because the quality of the Zoo animals is awful. There is paint missing, the zebra looks like it's stripes were drawn on with sharpie and they aren't as heavy or as sturdy as the Jungle animal set we have. It's just really bad workmanship. I reached out to LR because I believed in their product and thought surely they've had others complain and have decided to go back to their original level of excellence for their product. Their customer service was very kind and they sent me a new set. The second set is just as bad- I didn't even pull them out of the plastic I could see that it was the same bad workmanship as the first set. Really disappointed.

The pets are really lovely, they are very tactile and made of durable plastic. These animals are not the largest jumbo pets and I would recommend young children are supervised as they are easily chewed with fins, ears and tails sticking out. A great real life set.

Both my three-year-old daughter and ten-month-old son love these toys (for various reasons). My only beef is the Animal Facts sheet that accompanies them. A quick scan of the information about the monkey shows a serious editing error--squirrel monkeys are most definitely NOT 50 to 80 inches long (with an 80-inch tail) and 1.5 to 2.2 pounds. 50 to 80 inches (which the sheet lists as being equivalent to 25 to 35 centimeters, about the length of a ruler) is actually more like 4-6.5 feet long (with a 6.5-foot long tail), and spider monkeys are rather small. Whoever wrote the description apparently used the pounds to kilogram conversion instead of inches to centimeters for this section, and although all other facts may be correct, this serious error makes me question all the other data listed; it can't be trusted. For an educational toy, this is certainly a major flaw.

This is a great toy for kids of all ages!

We had to add this Jumbo set to complete the whole series. My son loved it. They are great quality.I hope they keep coming out with more jumbo animal series. Great durable, wonderful detail, and easy to clean. Great tool for a young one to learn with!
