A: It is not, according to a c-net review/article on LED 100W equivalent bulbs. The CRI (color rendering) on this is quite good--it's a warm white without the yellowish appearance.

Fire hazard!
I have never had a lightbulb catch on fire, but this one sure did. So glad my child didn't leave the light on in her room and walk away… The smell was awful. I think these lightbulbs should be recalled.

Great 3000K Color Light but Most Have Loud Buzzing
I purchased several packages of these. I love the 3000k color vs the ugly typical 2700k color bulbs, however most of these immediately had or developed a loud buzzing sound over a short amount of time and had to be returned. These weren't used with any unusual fixtures, dimmers, or anything else that might cause a buzzing sound.

Junk!
Caution! These bulbs are junk! I have replaced most of my old style bulbs with these and over the past 6-12 months and at least 4 (out of appx 20) have failed. I finally got frustrated and took one back to the store to try to get a replacement and they argued with me until I finally threw the bulb in the trash can next to the return counter. I won't be buying any more LED bulbs from Target and question the up & up brand. They typically support their own brand, but not on this time. Really disappointed in the up and up brand and Target, these bulbs are not cheap.

Great until they aren't
These are low cost and really nice light and color initially, but unfortunately all 9 of the 100W Up&Up bulbs I've installed have failed in under 2 years. One day they suddenly become quite dim and flicker constantly. I wrote to the manufacturer and they replaced it with an identical model, and now those have failed too. I have not had this issue with any other size of Up&Up bulb.

Very poor quality
I've had two bulbs go back in less than 3 months in normal light sockets (non-dimmable). Quality control is crap. Very disappointed. Target is becoming more and more expensive, trying to be high-end but selling less and less quality items. I'm going to start going elsewhere.

These are great for the darker rooms in our house where we have fixtures with 40-60 w rating. Adds a lot of brightness with only 15w usage. Much better than the standard bulb. The longevity remains to be seen - usually I don't find LEDs to last nearly as long as they're supposed to, but still are better than traditional incandescents.
