impressive tree.
The tree itself was very easy to assemble with easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions. Thanks to the leaf color chart, it's easy to tell which one the designers are referring to. We were delighted with the tree's colors. The tree itself is tall and impressive, and its pot is sturdy, with no loose parts, so you can move it around as needed.

Beautiful fall tree!
Love this set with my other fall-themed Legos. It was a fun build, not too difficult, especially compared to other botanical sets, still great though. Definitely get it!!

Neat Set!
I enjoyed building this set! It was a quick building project, but definitely a fun set! It also had a great final project look, which I’ve struggled to find in some of the other Botanicals. Definitely recommend this set!

Pretty but a little underwhelming
If this took me 2 hrs to build I’d be surprised. The build itself is quite straightforward, no fiddly bits, branches fit well and it feels as solid as you’d hope for something like this. Sometimes I wish Lego would build these things in a modular way, I had to put 4 sets of branches, means 8 of one type and 4 of another - these are basically in the instructions in a linear fashion. I guess this makes it more accessible to a broader range of people but wastes lots of paper and for a company who aspire to be better for the environment they could look at making the instruction booklets smaller. The outcome is quite pretty but I think I was expecting more for the price - mine is currently sitting next to a small orchid and a cherry blossom and it doesn’t stand out as twice as good. Which brings me to the last comment - this is not worth the retail price, the bonsai tree (for all its perceived faults) was £10 cheaper (at full retail) and more complex and more fun to build. I paid way under full retail and still feel a bit robbed.

Beautiful Tree
It's always amazing to put together pieces and it ends up into the end outcome! This is lovely and vibrant to display next to the other botanical lego plants.

Lovely Japanese maple
This bonsai botanical nicely compliments the original bonsai botanical. My real real bonsai plants don't always do very well but I have faith in this one. Excellent design.

Beautiful little tree
I bought this as a desk decoration, and it looks absolutely stunning and surprisingly realistic (well, as realistic as anything built out of Lego can look). The tree is a good size, and it adds a nice spot of colour wherever you place it. The red and orange leaves are beautiful and make me feel an urge to book a trip to Japan. The one tiny thing that brings down the build score for me is the bits you don't see once it's completed, where they use seemingly random colours. Presumably to make it easier to see in the instructions what's what. I’m pedantic, I know, but it just doesn’t feel very zen knowing they are there.

I Love Legos
The Japanese Red Maple Bonsai tree was actually bigger than I thought. It so pretty my next purchase will honestly be the mini bonsai trees to go with it. I love the flower and plants set.

Tribute to My Mother
This Japanese Red Maple from the Botanicals sets was my mother's tree. She planted one in our front yard. It's probably still there as they can live to be a century. A beautiful set. This is my third Botanical. Thanks to Art, the delivery person.

Total Joy
I am a sucker for the Asian influenced sets and the Red Maple hit that spot for me. The build was a pleasure and went together smoothly once I got into the rhythm. I quite enjoyed the color scheme. I was very glad the base didn’t have a random scattering of pieces to mimic dirt or pebbles.
