I’m a bonsai admirer. I bought this set because I live in an area with a lot of Cherry Blossom trees and wanted to simulate that inside. This piece is very delicate, and, like other plants doesn’t like to be moved a lot. I have purchased another set for a friend.

I bought this product back in November and since then its broken has broke nat least 4 times just sitting in one spot and I haven’t rebuilt it since. The top is too heavy for the base and its constantly making it break in half.

This is the first set I’ve ever bought for myself so pretty much beginner level, only having done little bits here and there with the kids. Firstly very disappointed that a quarter of the brick count is simply small pieces that you pour into the plant pot. Absolutely no skill required so it only took me about 2 hours which for a beginner is no time at all. Someone more experienced won’t get much time out of building this at all. Very disappointing

This was honestly the first lego build in my entire 44 years of life on this planet and in this particular dimension. And, i loved every second of it. Being color blind it was hard to tell some of the browns and reds apart, but that is not a LEGO issue, that is a me issue. I had a lot of fun doing this. It was dare i say, ZEN like :) just really enjoyed putting this together. It currently resides on a bookshelf. I will be building more also! Thank you, LEGO!!!

Over the last few months i've built up a collection of the botanicals, I've enjoyed building and love the colours. I chose to build the bonsai in pink (splash of colour) initially and it took me about 2 hrs. Firstly, it looks great, but ..... - the build is a bit repetitive (9 identical foliage groups) - the instructions of how to attach the foliage groups (groups of 3) are not as clear as they could be - i referred to the online instruction booklet a few times because the colours are clearer. Overall, good but not great!

I got this set for my birthday and I was really excited to build it. I was originally wanting to do the green leaves by themselves for it to look more woodsy and natural but when I built it with just the green leaves it looked horrible compared to the picture on the box! I have a bunch of Lego sets and I’ve never had an issue with one except for this one. I really just wish it looked great and more dense with just the green leaves. I just wish you got the same amount of pieces for the green leaves like you do with the blossom leaves. I just felt like I had no other choice but to use the blossoms to make it look better. Now I understand that you can mix and match the pieces and I love the creativity in that but I’m the type of person to where I would want it one way or the other. I’m just not happy with the set it was fun to build and a nice display with the blossoms but just not enough density with the green leaves. I was genuinely disappointed.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The piece is beautiful, but after going to a certain point where you put all the leaves, it is extremely fragile and every time I try to put in the smallest pieces, the whole tree break apart I have given myself breaks, tried it over and over again it keeps breaking. It’s been almost a week that I have been trying to make the set but How fragile it is it seems kind of impossible if you have a small area to do this I would not recommend it because the pieces keep flying around everywhere if you’re not even touching it feel like a mile away from the pieces and you blow on them. It will throw away. Lego could’ve done a much better job with it at least given it some structure so it doesn’t keep falling down.

This was my first serious lego set - I have build a few with my son but they were much smaller. This peace was tough to build as the base part of the tree can be complicated to maneuver as you are completing the upper section but do not let that deter you - this is a beautiful set. i have added this to my office space and i have received several comments already. If you are hesitant to take the leap, do not afraid this is well worth the time and money. Enjoy your build, cheers!

I got this set to match with the "lucky bamboo" set. I loved the frogs for the pink leaves and I was extremely excited. To build it, this excitement was short lived. The base was easy and then you get to the tree, the trunk sits on a hinged base that popped apart every time you touch something. The instructions are muddy and you can't tell which pieces to use. It comes with two rubber "vines"? That when you put them on it pops apart the connecting peice on the back and in order to put it back on you have to take off the side. Everything falls apart when you try to attach anything. The instructions for the leaves are extremely confusing and you can't put any of the leaves on without the trunk snapping in two. It also has you do the steps in a weird order, I had to dump the "rocks" out of the base so I could continue building the trunk. It's extremely top heavy and extremely wobbly, the trunk feels very unstable. It took my 2+ hours to build, 3 crying seasons, and I gave up before finishing. I wouldn't get this set for yourself or a friend.

All in all, it was an okay build. I had heard it was a somewhat difficult build and found it pretty simple, completing in a couple of hours. The other disappointment I had was how bare it was only putting on the branches they recommended. I installed more on the side clips, now it's full. It was fun, but not near as difficult as I was hoping.

It was my first Lego, I was excited to build it, everything was great except the dark brown colors but it's still the MOST SENSITIVE Lego I've ever built and I've built a lot of Lego ever since, it comes apart so easy so keep that in mind
