Not Happy!
Shipped in a plastic bag. Product box was squished and taped up like it had been previously open. - Same with other 3 Lego items in this order!

Creator 3 in 1 Pirate Ship
It’s been in my wish list for a long time. Waiting for the right moment to get it (with a nice gift with purchase). So happy that I finally have it. It brings nostalgia as I used to watch Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn with Captain Hook when I was young. So happy also that it’s a 3 builds in 1 set.

Great display piece and medium difficulty.
Great and long build. Takes time but end product is really cool and complex. Great display.

Great
Apart from taking a bit more time usual finding the right pieces, the build and play was so fun.

Multiple missing pieces
Haven’t quite finished the build yet, but my 5 yr old so far has really been enjoying it. He can build it mostly on his own, with some occasional help from parents. My only complaint is that in one of the bags, we are missing pieces. So far, 4 pieces haven’t been in one of the bags and they aren’t basic lego bricks so really hard to replace. The bag must have missed quality controls or something, as we’ve never had this happen with any of our other lego sets. But it’s definitely put a stop to our build unfortunately.

Hi there! It's sad that this ship can't set sail just yet. If you haven't already, you can pick up your lost pieces here: LEGO.build/BricksPieces-BV. We hope treasure arrives soon and your little builder will be able to continue his journey across the seas!

YO HO YO HO LEGO LIFE FOR ME
My daughter built this for me and had fun while doing it. We watched pirate movies and she built while watching. The details of the sails and cables is cool. Even has a treasure chest and cannons that work. Goes great with the light house. Oh, and beware of the shark!

Nice set only thing I noticed is hard to reach in to move the canons around without hitting the sails

Amazing but...
I don’t want to be a Karen but I know is going to sound like a Karen. The Lego is amazing, my son was over the moon when he got it, 3 days later AFTER CHRISTMAS 😒. We bought it because it says was going to be delivered by December 21th but it wasn’t til the 26th or 27th, so we had to print a picture and put it in an empty box and explained to a 8 year old what happened. No info no nothing in the app about what happened. The app was kept saying it was going to be delivered by the 21th( with FedEx) Anyways he got it and love it. Buy it with lots of times so this won’t happen to you.

Good try, somewhat lacking
I like a lot about this set. It's quite big, it's got a captain's quarters and two masts. Unfortunately, I also recently reassembled the classic Renegade Raider set, which though much smaller, has certain qualities that this one lacks. For one: three minifigs?! For such a big ship this seems ridicolous. Even more so when compared to the smaller, one-masted Raider's four minifigs. Then there are the cannons. Two of them. While the ship has four gunports. I guess you need to move them around. The Renegade Raider has just one. But it swivels around so it ends up being more functional. Speaking of the gunports, they have these flaps, which look great, at first. Then you see that they don't completely cover the ports. And the flaps can't close with the cannons behind them. Finally there are the sails. Brickbuilt, rather than canvas. Which is great for durability. In fact, I had to re-order the sails for the Raider, because mine got crumpled. But the end result just looks so much better. Also, those bottom sails don't have anything connecting them. I added a flat 1x10 brick myself to keep them together. Why wasn't this in the set? All in all, this thing is great, as long as you don't compare it to anything else.

Nostalgia on the high seas!
This set really brought me back to the 90's and 2000's pirate themes. I missed out on classics like "Black Seas Barracuda" and "Skull's Eye Schooner" so this is my next best thing. The build was fun and detailed. Really enjoying the firing canons (something else I missed as a child) and having some pirates to add to my minifigure collection. My only gripe with this set is the use of brick built pieces over the classic shark and parrot elements. Personally, this set would have been that much better with those elements added. Cloth sails would have been a nice touch as well; having seen some pictures of folks using retro sails, I would have loved to see them over brick built.

Truly a great set!
I have been a Lego Pirate fan since the summer of 1990 when I first bought myself the Black Sees Barracuda (Lego 6285) and the Caribbean Clipper (Lego 6274). In the years that followed my collection continued to grow (Thank you designer and creative mastermind Niels Milan Pedersen for making all these great sets bake then!!!). In the later years I have re-gained my interest in the Pirates theme with the launch of great sets like The Brick Bounty (70413) that I bough for my son, and recently Barracuda Bay (21322) and Pirate Ship (31109). I consider myself a Lego Pirates Expert, and the Pirate Ship (31109) is absolutely one of my favorites. This is such a great and unique set because everything is brick-built. The construction process and building techniques are really interesting. This gives the overall ship a really detailed and realistic look. In the Lego Pirates World, the Pirates usually outnumber the imperial soldiers. So to even the odds between the Pirates and the Soldiers, the 31109 now is re-build with blue Lego brick-sails to help defend the Eldorado Fortress.

The set is great! Lots of fun. My only concern is why didn't it come with an actual lego shark figure instead of having to build one?

Bit skeptical but shiver me timbers
I was reluctant to purchase due to the nature of the sails and thought it might look kinda rubbish compared to older ones....but I'm glad I did as the build experience is exceptional and model looks well on display

The title could be a little more exciting.
This set is definitely a good set to purchase. It’s got lots of interesting characters and cool accessories, it’s also quite sturdy and good for playing with. This set is also very “cool looking” and the aspect of the ability to create three different builds makes it exciting. Overall this set is an awesome build for all ages and it’s one of the only lego pirate ships at the moment - I hope they carry on making them!
