Q: Can a 12 year old put this together?

submitted by TMBB - 2 years ago
  • A: If your 12-year-old is experienced with building large and complex LEGO sets, then maybe. If your 12-year-old does not have much experience with building LEGO sets, then probably no.

I bought this for my 8 year old son for Christmas and he loves it. He loved the build process and it inspired him to want and build the Medieval town square and I am getting him the Medieval Blacksmith for Christmas this year. I believe this set provides excellent value and truly has inspired my son's imagination. I couldn't recommend this set more highly for a young builder with a big imagination!

I'm writing a review on LEGO's not just this product....When I have someone sick, in the hospital, lonely, etc. I give them LEGO's. The LEGO's come in so handy because it puts most people's mind in a different frame of mind. Say they are worried about something, they start working with LEGO's and that time they are busy with LEGO's there mind relaxes. I, myself, enjoy LEGO's a lot.

I’m 2/3rds through the build, and it’s pretty easy and fun. I’ve had Lego sets before that were very confusing, so was nervous to start the build, but it’s very step-by-step and very clear. I’m really happy with this set!

Target is charging $26 more for this set than Lego and $26 more than the msrp, which makes absolutely no sense. Great set but the pricing is a ripoff.

I really like this set. I had the original lego vikings and these new ones fit in well with my old ones. I love how the buildings are closed up on each side. Be aware though that if you want to move this set you need to separate it into 3 sections because if you pick it up all as one thing it might break apart. Recommended for any vikings fans.

This set is fantastic the best viking lego set out there in my opinion and the cost is lower in general than most sets with the same or lower amount of pieces it took me about 6 hrs to build within 2 sittings cause of limited time to build i did everything but the bridge and tower was 2nd build session which was 2 hrs did the rest in 4hrs in one day. I would reccomend this set to any viking fan or lego fan that wants some variety in there collection.
